Hey Beantown, were you planning on leaving Friday morning or early afternoon for the campground? If so, maybe we could caravan up there if you're interested. I get off work somewhere between 0630 and 0830 Friday morning and I cringe at the thought of fighting rush hour afternoon eastbound traffic on a Friday.

Let's do it. 1 sounds good to me, that way I can catch a nap after work anyways.

If there is anyone else in the South Bay that wants to caravan with us on Friday early afternoon, let us know and we will try to figure out a good place to meet up.

And the size can be a bit scary. Making sure there is enough food to go around, trail leaders that know what is actually going on etc. But the pay off is worth it in the end.

OK so I got a cb radio now !!! installed it yesterday with some help from wf .... however ... I keep reading about tunning the antenna and all that stuff but I have never dealt with a cb radio before ... I can turn the radio on but I don't hear anything, no noise or static .... The radio powers on, I bought the teraflex bracket for the antenna that mounts it in the tailight (is grounded).... but i'm a little lost, is that a complicated matter ?? ... .... I live in the Antelope Valley and can't seem to find a cb place !!! .....

What make and model of CB Radio do you have? Also, if you post up in this section Communications and Electronics - Jeep Wrangler Forum I am sure someone can give you assistance with any problems.

I'll bring my antenna tuner to Big Bear so we can tune antennas that need it.

So since Jeff may not be coming to BB, would anyone else be interested in splitting a site with my friend that is tagging along (just want to try and make arrangements in case Jeff cant make it)? They will be willing to split cost with anyone interested

Me and My brother just got back from running Holcomb Creek trail and it was a blast. Nice trail met up with the guys and gals that worked so hard to re-open this trail big thanks to them this should be on the list of trails to do this coming weekend.

Is Holcomb Creek consider an easy, moderate or difficult trail ? ..

Its a black diamond trail so its considered difficult. In my personal opinion its not difficult at all if you choose the right lines.

Hopefully Jeff will be able to work things out and make the trip, but if he can't will someone else be able to bring pasta for the potluck? I'm bringing spaghetti sauce, but we need something to put that on top of.

Sean can. He hasnt figured anything out yet, so if Jeff cant make it, he can bring pasta along. If Jeff can make it, he can figure something else out.
