ACE Narrow Fenders OK?

Has anyone been pulled over for having them in Cali? I read that tires can only stick out no more than 2 inches from the fender. If I install the narrow fenders I'll stick out 3-4 inches.

I don't know anyone running the Ace, but most aftermarket fenders combined with aftermarket wheels, will make them stick out.

I have this combo -- Xenon plastic fenders and 35 x 15's with 3.75" backspacing. I've seen guys on here running no fenders at all. I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket.

I've been back in Cali for about a month and not had a problem. Passed by plenty of cops a couple deputies and a CHP. Never got pulled over.

I live in high desert and have been running my ACE narrows for almost 2 years. Been to Rubicon, Moab. I stay out of LA (no rocks there) and never pulled over. Son-in-law is a deputy. He says in his book most are pulled over for other reasons; speeding, suspect driving practices, bad hair. Then the rest falls into place. Attitude and courtesy will get you a long way after being pulled over. Example, I know someone that had a hemi swap done and went to pick up his rig at EVO. Went for the test drive down the street and around the block and before he got back, got pulled over and ended up with ticket for narrow flares. That was his story for about a month, then he told the other part about "trying out the Hemi on the straight away." Then it sounded like he really got a breaků
