Any modded Jeeps in SF proper?

Picked up 2012 Rubi a couple weeks ago. 2 door white 6 speed. Been having a blast with it so far. Next weekend getting some beefier tires and shortly thereafter a lift and likely exhaust. Just wondering if there are any other owners that live in the city and if you've had any challenges with a modded Jeep, whether it's parking, vandalism, etc.

Nah, but now that I've mounted $600 worth of lightforce fogs to the front I either shell out for the parking garage when I visit my friends or remove -- as I'm certain that someone else would in fairly short order.

You're probably fine on the wheels/tires, but some keyed nuts wouldn't hurt.

As always, don't leave anything out. I.e., Find some way to plug an ipod into your stereo so you don't have CD's laying around.

That moment when you look at a really nice JK and think to yourself, "Well I SUPPOSE I could see myself trading in my TJ for one of those, but for those ugly ass door handles."

First rule of Wrangler is never leave anything in there that you don't need when you get back to it. Is it a soft top or a hard top? Price out the windows, they're expensive. I have two buddies I just went wheeling with today that live in Oakland that park them with no doors, no tops, no radio. Nothing. Really depends on how long the assholes have to try and steal something. Might also spend a few bucks on a tuffy lockbox or something of the sort. I have the Insta-Trunk for a YJ and never had anything stolen out of it after I welded studs in the trunk to bolt it down.

Long story short; don't leave anything in there important if it's a soft top or if the top is off.
