Yeah it is a 4 hour run for us from here. I am gonna take a pass. Too long of a day for a couple of beginners in the back.
Thanks.

Candy and I will be at Hwy 78 and Split Mountain Road at 9:00am. We're spending tonight in Borrego Springs. Haven't been there since I was a kid. See you all tomorrow. Mark.

Ok Geo. We planned on being there tonight but my wife ended up having to work. My wife, girls and I will see everyone there in the morning. If anyone needs ice or last min drinks / snacks the desert iron woods general store is close to the meeting spot. I also think they are having a pre Cinco de mayo taco war event pool side in the evening. The flyer said every one welcome with small cover charge.

Thanks Geo for another great run and for all the spotting. It was a fun group and Candy and I had a blast. Plus we have a reason to go back so we can explore that other trail that took off to the right. What was Coyota Cyn. like? Thanks again everyone. Mark.

. It was nice but dried out the two water crossing we passed were really small and the 3rd one with the canopy of trees is now closed off. We turned around after that wanted to get home. We got back around 10 last night. . And cause I couldn't get enough I went to cleghorn this morning at 6 am. I did pucker hill from top to bottom and let me tell u that name is appropriate. And yes I cheated I had a winch line anchor on my tail. Mainly because the first drop I almost flopped on my passenger side. Thanks to perez3789 for the winch and anchor. I'll post video up soon

Well I'm glad you didn't let me down and went wheelin today. You really do need to get out more... How were you able to get Hector another day-pass for the second day in a row? That Pucker is a steep son of a gun. And JRivera, how was that memory foam mattress?

When are the best times to run Sandstone Canyon? I assume Oct - April..do to the heat. Looks like a very scenic trail with a lot to see. I'm going to put this trail on my list for next month.

I would say anytime the weather cools down is a good time. I would highly suggest you keep an eye on the weather. These spots are not a good spot to be in when a flash flood happens. I was thinking of doing something around Nov once the weather drops below 80 degrees.
