Yeah it was quite a day on the trail...seemed more like 2 days actually...Nice job on the trail repair for Jeff drag link, hopefully someone got a shot of that breaker bar / hose clamp job...impressive. Stan, nice of you to assist jeff back...but you know better than anyone, you cant by a drag link a in a bar...As far as the main obstacle..goes...wow..just wow...I had a great day and I think wifey is starting to enoy it as well! At least she is understanding why I spend all the money on upgrades and thats huge....Next Run?

Glad to see that you guys successfully completed this trail. Sorry to see that Turd broke his draglink but nonetheless good trail repair.

Just made it home and showered up. I feel a ton better. That hose clamp and breaker bar fix is holding up great. Now I just need to get an upgrade draglink and I should be set.

I want to give an extra special thanks to everyone that assisted me with my mishap.

The the guys that let me use your breaker bar, (sorry, your names escape me right now)If you PM me, I can get your address and get the breaker bar back to you with some new hose clamps

All in all, it was a fun trip, but I seriously need to pony up the funds for new gearing so that I don't have to give it so much oomph on the twisty stuff.

Jeff

Did you get your small sledge hammer back? I was watching the videos I made last night and didn't notice while I was shooting, but on the first obstacle, you had that hammer resting on your front driver side fender and it fell off right there.

I'm uploading the videos right now, should be up in a few hours.

I was thinking about the rolled Cherokee,

What I learned from this:
ALWAYS leave your windows rolled down: Some were yelling at him to stop, but he didn't hear us. Luckily the windows didn't break, but that was just pure luck and another reason to have them down. Mostly just some body damage, but as somewhat of a novice, stuff like that just FREAKS me out and makes me nervous for the rest of the day.

Of course, once they got him on his wheels again, he almost rolled it a second time...

Maybe the guy was drinking?

I might bring my cam corder next time. These were done on a flip. Not bad considering you can't zoom.

Looking forward to more video and pics from others!

Sweet videos. Always fun to watch what I could have been doing...

So that very beginning obstacle is the one Turd broke his draglink on? And he had to turn around and go back to base camp?

Yeah, The first one, but its difficult. The last time through Scott blew his tire before even touching a rock so it hasnt been good luck ...Stan went with Jeff, but I dont think they went back to base camp

Yeah. We put our 5" four door with 37s through this trail and we struggled on that first section as well. Mainly due to a bad line but I think it deserves respect.

Jeff, glad to see you made it home on the breaker bar splint! I had a fantastic time with all of you, and look forward to the next one. Sorry I didn't camp with you, next time for sure.
I'll be there with a revised edition of tools and supplies. I try to only carry the absolute necessities but it's just not enough.
