Wish I had time and lived a little closer- have no problem crawling under a jeep.
Wishing the best because I plan on EVERYONE being on this run.

Yeah most of the run will be similar to Berdoo. I plan to drive some fire roads, climb a shelf road ( not real difficult- just slow and easy), more fire roads and then a tight trail down through trees and boulders might reverse this trail and climb back up. A lot of fun. Nothing that a stock jeep cannot handle.
I'm hoping to spend most of the day on dirt. I'm up to spending as much time as we want to on the trails. There are so many up there.

Meet at the Valero gas station 8:30-9:00. 55716 29 Palms Hwy Yucca Valley (corner of 29 Palms Hwy & Fox Trail). Fill the tanks and lets try to depart around 9:00.
Just after you climb the hill out of Morongo Valley look for the Valero station. There are other gas stations in Yucca Valley but we will meet at the Valero.
See you all there.

Sorry just saw your post. Below is what I found that someone else posted to the same questions as yours

Since the bolt has a pin head its very difficult to get a real reading on the right torque. Just get it good and tight. It purpose is to keep the spring centered on the perch. But once you tighten the u bolts down good and tight its function is a back up to keeping centered.
Spring Center Bolt 36 f/lb
