Question Backwards

JK909, Proride, Locknut, DvsYj, and ANY OTHER 4X Driver, I want to run Gold Crown Backwards, and DOWN Berdoo Canyon. 29 Palms side, down to the 10 Highway. Haven't set a date, but...what do you think? Shuffle the Calendar? I'm open, I just don't want to do it alone.

How about from Yucca Valley through Pioneer Town and up to Big Bear or through Rattlesnake Cyn? There are some great trails up there. Easy to moderate.

Alright - We can meet at the Valero gas station 8:30-9:00. 55716 29 Palms Hwy Yucca Valley (corner of 29 Palms Hwy & Fox Trail). Fill the tanks and lets try to depart around 9:00.
Heading through Pioneer Town and Rim Rock - Airing down at 2N02 and continue to Rattlesnake Canyon. We can follow the canyon down part way and then return to 2N02.
We will pass the Rose Mine and we can climb 2N09 up to Tip Top Mtn where more mining occurred. (great place for lunch)
After lunch we can continue west and decide where we want to go. We can head to Jacoby Canyon (3N61) or go through Holcomb Valley. There are a couple fun tight little trails in Holcomb.
Maybe dinner in Big Bear or depending on the time just head out and call it a great day.
All are welcome. This will be an easy day some shelf roads and a few rocks Great Views.

Bummer, would love to join you guys as that sounds fun, but I already had plans for the 31st. But, I might have to change plans and go play in the Jeep instead of racing MX. I'll have to think this over.

Ok, I thought it over, and I'm in.

You are more than welcomed. I started this thread as backwards, but Locknut/Craig, suggested a better run...scroll up on the thread, for the Rally Point, and I hope to see you there!!!

I doubt this could ever be better than Joshua Tree but just different. I still want to run Gold Crown backwards.
This should be a fun day. I plan to drive down part way into Rattlesnake Canyon and back, then up Tip Top mtn. Awesome views from there. Next on into Holcomb Valley. There is a very cool little trail that winds through trees and boulders even a "squeeze" that you will want to pull the side mirrors in.
Stock jeeps will be fine
We will be in a canyon, on a shelf road (a little narrow), and later, in the trees. Warning...You may end up hitting a few tree branches. If you don't mind a few light scratches this is the trail for you.
We can try CB channel 15.

Yes, nothing beats trailing, except trailing with good friends.

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to this run. I usually have to do solo runs.

This Post is to inform the people that have decided to befriend me, on the trail......ARE AWESOME!! Locknut, JK909, DvsYJ, Angry Monkey (and they told me Madman, was a bad nickname), and Lomita..... I am hoping May 31st, pans out to a Great Day on the trail, and we all come away with a sense that, life is what WE make of it. People cross each other's path for a REASON.

Did you get the shifter sorted out? If not, I'll bring a mat Locknut, did you have to replace the radiator? I'm assuming you did.

Installed a transfer case linkage repair kit, and tweaking it this weekend to reach 4LO, without having to lay on the ground, under the rig.....
