Do you remember her famous tuna casserole? Almost all of those Sweathogs would eat it, just because she made it!!

Bill, I'm only running one run Saturday only !! The rest of time just hanging, Bsing, and beer 30 but the joke is on BBFF cuz I pay double to have this much fun.

I hear you Joe, I have only run 1 trail each of the last 2 years so as not to cut too much into beverage & BS time The weather is usually great, just haven't decided if I will run a non FF trail or not...dinner is great, but they need to cut down the time of that raffle... It drug on last year ( even though you cleaned up) and cut into happy hour....

Hey Nic-
I don't see you on John Bull- Saturday right?
Should be signing up in the next day or so. Stan's run starts at the crack of dawn so trying to figure out lodging for Friday. I try not to get up before the sun. May wind up like Joe and paying for one run. BS and Beer sounds like a plan.

I received an email that Holcomb is out, so I switched us to Stan's run. I'm waiting on a confirmation that the switch went through

They had problems last year. Sad that they had to cancel Holcomb completely.

I find that odd -- you can still run it with as many Jeeps as you want, but can't get a permit to run it. Makes me wonder if it will be closed to 4X vehicles soon. That would really suck since it's such a fun trail.

I too thought it was odd that you could still run it. I think the organizers are a bit upset about the late notice, at least I got that impression from the email.

It's getting very hard to get a permit to gain access to a trail that crosses water now a days.

Dept. of Fish & Game wouldn't issue a permit to our County in 2004 to clean the drainage ditches in our town. I guess the Red Legged Frog had been somewhere in there at some time. All the tributaries run into those drains and I woke up at 3am to wade thru 3-4 inches of water throughout my house.

Every house in our neighborhood flooded, after a couple law suits against the County and Fish & Game they issued an emergency permit. Too bad it was too late

I told the F&G guy that held a meeting in our town that there was no way some frog could have survived the water rushing down our street!

I hate to say I see it both ways- it's a beautiful creek area that is fun to Jeep in. The Gatekeeper is my nemesis. But send enough 4 wheelers across it and you divert the natural flow of the creek. We don't exactly have a lot of water filled creeks in CA. What I like about Holcomb (natural beauty) is what they're trying to preserve.
Signed up. Shooting for Stan's Saturday; random for Sunday.

I thought the red leg frog only existed at Rose Valley thus they stopped stocking it. I do not think they even went there at night as some night there seemed like millions of them.
I do agree with creek crossing though, very sensitive. Remember not too long ago we almost lost Deep Creek until a bridge was built.

Not gonna make this one, ratz!! Will be just back from CO, and will need to rest the knee, getting a new one in July. Stan has already given me some build options.

Not everyone has the same bad experience as I did with total knee replacement, but I can not stress enough...BE DILIGENT AND AGGRESSIVE WITH YOUR FOLLOW UP PHYSICAL THERAPY! You'll be glad you did.

Oh Stan....it's time to lead a revolt. Gotta get that start time changed! I know you didn't appoint that time- who do we have to tie up in a room and beat with a stick? 7am is ridiculous. It's not as though we'll run into anyone else while we're on Mottino. (unless I am missing something, which is very possible). There are at least 8 people on that list that are your customers- that's gotta add some weight to the protest!

Somehow I missed the 7 am start time, I'm not sure the Jeep is even awake at that hour Plus we will loose a good hour with potty stops since I know there will be at least a gallon of coffee consumed to make it on time, lol.
