I was thinking of going with the stockish/new to off road group. We did get a stock 4 door Saraha with street tires thru Gold Mtn, but he needed a couple of tugs. Dishpan, if planning on doing the complete run will be a tough run for a stocker. I was thinking that with the size of the group, it would also make it easier for everyone if there was a split off. If everyone wants to stay as a single group, I am cool with that also.

Big Bear's getting more rain and snow today and tomorrow. Definitely should make the trails more interesting.

I think splitting up is necessary,a large group like this would make the trail last hours longer.
Ill probably be doing dishpan or gold mtn with the modified rigs.
There are already going to he a bunch of rigs up there. I think a large group of xj's and also a group of jk's will be there the same weekend.

Sounds good.

Depending on peoples' schedules, and who is camping Saturday or not, I say we do Dishpan on Saturday, Jacoby that night, then a quick run up Gold Mountain on Sunday before heading home.

The address is:
499 west orange show road

Assuming u r coming from the o.c. just take the 91 east which turns into the 215 north @ the 60. Stay on 215 (91) and take the 1st exit past the 10 which is orange show road.
Turn right(east)
Target will be on your right past the stop light (e street)

I will monitor cb channel 5 and the keller peak relay on 146.3850 + PL 146.20 (www.kpra.net)

I will be there around 8am-ish.

Trails are on the north side of the lake, theres a few gas stations on the south side that you could top off at before heading to the meeting spot.

GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude):
34.28778, -116.97444

get to the 38, remember the 330 is closed

Highway 18 becomes Highway 38. Go to Fawnskin Fire Station and turn left onto Rim of the World Drive (3N14) for 2.5 miles to campsite. To get to the campground you must drive over 1 1/2 miles of rough dirt road.

Most likely not. I was figuring on Dishpan Saturday (run it to the bridge, then back), Jacoby that night, then Gold Mtn to the John Bull gatekeeper on Sunday morning.

Prob not, like justin said, if people are up to it gold mtn on sunday after checkout.
I think there is going to be a ton of jeeps on dishpan, might take all day to finish that trail, especially if we do it both ways.

I think after dishpan, jacoby canyon would be a quick mellow run that everyone could participate if they wanted. Its a really quick run, more scenic that challenging. But loads of fun after dark.

Count me in for Dishpan. How long does it take to run Gold Mtn? I'd like to do Gold Mtn also, but I'm not sure if I'll have time for a run Sunday morning.

Depending on the number and build of rigs, it can be ran in about an hour and a half I'd say. That's without stopping and minimal difficulty.

It took us 9 hours once. 6 rigs, 4 of which got stuck baaad in the snow. We started the trail at about noon, and the last vehicles made it off the mountain at 9pm. Good times.

As some of you may have heard, and some of you may not uave heard, according to some, this saturday is the end of the world, a.k.a.the rapture.

As a result, we need to schedule the run so we are all at the highest point so we will be taken first and not have to wait in line as long as everyone else

I am wanting to do White Mountain as is will be new to me and will probably hit Gold Mtn again on the Meet n Greet in July. I am arriving on Friday early afternoon, and leaving early Sunday.

If there is not really a lot of interest in White Mtn, then Dishpan is a go for me also.
