Gama,

Rig is coming along and looks nice. For John Bull rear locker and 33's is what I would recommend as a minimum. Some have probably done it with no locker but there are some gate keepers ya got get through that are pretty gnarly. Holcomb, 33's and can be done in open diffs, same for dishpan. What I am not seeing on your rig are rock rails. I personally would not do, JB, Holcomb or, Dishpan without them. Am not familiar with the Gold Mountain so cannot speak to it on what you will need. Also, you still have street meat for tires, JB, holcomb and dishpan should have more aggressive tires.

Not saying it can't be done with the way you are outfitted, just would expect damage to your rig.

I'd be in for the Holcomb + John Bull run. If I had a preference it would be to start at JB and roll through Holcomb. To me, that seems a better way to run these two trails. Not only that I like climbing up JB's obstacles vice going down them.

Got some questions:

You running these trails everyday throughout the weekend or just certain days? Reason for asking is for planning purposes as we won't be camping.

Start time? Know you said early but again for planning purposes I am coming from 2.5hrs away and may have someone coming from 3. Don't have a problem with early meets as long as we are not talking 6 AM.

Members have mentioned interest in doing both JB and Holcomb as a long run, while others want to keep to only JB. So My thought was to split into groups of about 10, and for those doing JB leave at say 9:30 and those doing both JB and Holcomb to leave camp at 10:00.

Maybe some sort of moderate to advanced run would be good? Like Holcomb and another similarly difficult run?
All runs are listed as black diamond, but Gold Mountain is the least likely to cause damage and capable for a stock rig or members new to our hobby.

For you, I would recommend Gold Mtn. I have gotten a bone stock YJ with 29" street tires through it with only a couple of light tugs. No shame in getting tugged.

Start time is planned for leaving the campsite at approx 9:30 to 10:00 am. This gives everyone time to have a breakfast and pack a lunch for the trail.

I haven't voted on any of the listed trail run options, and I'd be happy running any of them. I'll probably go with the smallest group to help even out the numbers.

So are these trails already set in stone?

I'd be up for Holcomb and Dishpan!

Looks like I will be able to show up for this one and it doesn't matter which trail I run. I am new to all of them except Holcomb--ran it once before. Will try to get up there early Friday to get a camping spot.

Hi Bernie, Just FYI we started a new thread with a poll and updated info for the M & G. I dont see that you have a profile, so I cant recommend a trail for you. Along with Holcomb, there is John Bull and Gold mountain. There is also some vid of the trails on the thread link below. As for camping, Hanna is full, but there are Big Pine Flat and Holcomb campgrounds not far away from Hanna.
