I can't wait!

Lets run Up Dishpan Saturday morning, chill at camp for a couple hours and then hit up John Bull ? Bernie- you have a preference?

Maybe do Holcomb Sunday...Gold Mountain?
I prefer GM over over Holcomb especially at night. I enjoyed Dishpan, so I'm in for this one but let's get an early start. As far as JB goes I would be more comfortable doing it with daylight.

Ok B, whatever makes you comfortable... But plan on John Bull for a night run at some point. ; )

I'm good for an early start.. 900? 930? I want to go up Dishpan as well. Night run Gold Mountain? Hit up John Bull and Holcomb Sunday for Brett?

Need to look at the trail book again.. From our new campground, I'm not sure of the best routes.

Awesome!! The Currie tie rod should take a load off your mind.. Especially for the trails we'll be running. The stock ones are like toothpicks!

west to east is dishpan, holcomb, JB then gold mountain. Our campground is in the middle between holcomb and JB.

Going west to East on Dishpan had us going up right? We'll need to go around and start near the water? So we'll get there by hardball?

If I'm not mistaken east to west is how we did it last time at night--going up.

So what about start with Dishpan early because it takes so long to get to it. Them from Dishpan do JB, rest at camp and after dinner hit Holcomb and or GM at night? Or leave one of the two last ones for Sunday morning? For what it's worth that is my Opinion.

Don't know east west.. Know up down LOL. I knows it's out of the way and we need to go hardball... From there, I don't care what's next. I'm easy. Night run whichever.... ; )

Location-wise, Dishpan ends at the start of Holcomb. John Bull ends at the start of Gold Mountain. Here's a map.

This sounds like fun, but I too lack some equipment, mainly lights for the night ride. But would love to occupy a passenger or back seat of someone else's rig for that run. I have a 2012 JKUR that took John Bull backwards with a great group of Wranglerforum members and spit in his eye...lol. So I'm not worried about anything else out there at the moment. Put me down as a maybe, please!

All you really need is headlights. Everyone moves in a group so there's plenty of spillage.

Your rig is good to go..and a lot of people don't even have trail lights. If you have head lights, that's all you need really. My dang trail lights jimmy their wires loose more often than not..need to flip the switch 10 times to get them to come on right now. I'll be putting them to a screwdriver before then. And if you're really worried about it, the run isn't unitl the 20th. You can have lights on by then

I think we'll run up Dishpan and Holcomb Saturday..need to figure out the night run situation...I wouldn't mind Friday and Saturday night.

Maybe list? But OK. Down ya go..

I'm holding off buying anything for the Jeep until after the expo on Oct 5th...gotta get the best deal, right? But the first thing I need is updated camping gear, which I was planning on for my BDay in Rocktober. But I may have to hit wallyworld early...this sounds too good to pass up with some people I have not met yet.

Well now, that's the spirit!!

I too, need to upgrade my camping gear. I want one of those tents that pop up. I'm over the whole pole through the hole thing.

Our friend Brett's birthday is in Oct and we are hitting up Calico for it. Post to follow soon...but just to give you a heads up, it's the weekend of Oct 4th

So...let me know if I'm graduating you to the "going" list And if so, you'll probably meet birthday boy; as I think he'll make it up to Big Bear after work Saturday.

I'm like 90% sure I'll be there. I'll more than likely be staying until Monday as well for anyone who wants to wheel a bit more!

Hello,

I am new to the wrangler forum and just wanted to check in. I see that you all have a Big Bear run planned the 20-22nd, it's my sons big 5th birthday and we are planning a big super hero birthday for so I will not be able to attend then. However I just want to be in loop for future runs.

Thanks
