Big Bear on Dec 10th

Hey, Doing a day trip to Big Bear on the 10th, anyone up for it? I know there is a posting for Calico on the same weekend, but thats a bit far for me on a one day trip? Plenty of great trails in and around Holcome Valley....

The trails are not too bad. You should be able to make it for the most part. If you need a tug or two, there is no harm or shame involved. All part of the fun.

Hey Bill, what time are you wanting to hit the trails? And what trails are we hoping to do? I would like to try Holcomb Creek Trail. I have done Gold Mtn a few times and always have a blast. Not sure if my Heep is up for John Bull though.

Hey Jeff, I was just waiting to see who was coming so we could see what trail would be best for all. Holcome Creek sounds great to me...we can do Bull some other time. Meet at the trail head at 930? You want to start from 3n14 over by fawnskin?

Sounds good, I may bring my son or nephew...We can do Holcome Creek trail and then down through Crab Flats and out by Green Valley lake if you want.

I just got a PM from Bill, he is not going to be able to make it. I was hoping to have him lead the trail since he has done it before and has a bit more built rig. I am probably going to go Cleghorn or Pilot Rock tomorrow since I have done them and feel comfortable with my Jeep there. A stock Jeep can do the trails without too much effort. If you are interested, you can PM me and we can make plans.
