back on the subject of runs ...

Is everyone planning on going on the Memorial Run to Heartbreak Ridge? I figure with the size of group we have now it is going to take us around 4 hours. How does this sound for a block of time:

Memorial Run to Heartbreak Ridge 4 May 1000-UMC (expected return to camp 1400)

We probably should start identifying who is going on which run. I am planning on staying all three days so I was thinking about a Friday or Sunday Gold Mountain run as well.

I was planning on a Saturday Gold Mountain run and Sunday doing Holcomb. We won't be camping out, staying down the hill a peace.

Were you going to do Heartbreak Ridge too or just Gold Mountain on Saturday?

If we already hit Gold Mountain by Sunday .... I might make a run to Devil's Hole while y'all are running Holcomb ... It's an easy run option for Sunday if anyone wants

Heartbreak w/Gold mountain sounds good. Have been to neither of those.

Not to familiar with the BB area. Been up there quite a few times but never paid attention enough to be able to get people to the trails so please don't think of me as a trail leader for any of these.

Speaking of which, didn't see a run sign up yet.

So I finally got the runs posted on the first post. As of right now I have the Heartbreak Ridge/Gold Mountain on Saturday and Holcomb on Sunday. If there is interest in other options I can list those as well. Just let me know what runs you want to be on and I'll update the main page.

I also want to thank Chuck and Joni for their generous donation! God Bless..

If someone wants to lead the Holcomb run let me know. I've run it once but it's been a long time. I'd rather someone with a little more experience lead this one.

I put up the Devils hole run for ya Joe

You'll be fine to do the Heartbreak ridge/Gold mountain. It's a beginner run. Holcomb is an intermediate run. Devils hole is a beginner run as well. As long as you have some decent tires you could get through Holcomb. You might need a tug or two but it's doable. I made it on 33's and 2.5" of lift..

You'll scrape a bit Mo, but that is what the armor is there for.

It was a toss up ... I've been dying to do Holcomb but I decided to go to Devil's Hole because I'll have my kids with me and I was gonna let them play in Deep Creek for a while ...

Hey Aaron, will you add Douglas C. to Heartbreak and Holcomb, thanks!

Hey Mo... the Hanna Flats website says "Sites not suitable for RV's over 26 feet (this includes vehcile and tow unit)."

Serrano Campground is fairly close and has sites with full RV hook-ups. I'd reserve now though because Serrano fills up pretty fast, as it's on Big Bear Lake.

http://www.recreation.gov/campsitePa...533&startIdx=0

*Edit* I looked and all but one of the full hook up sites has been reserved. But there are like 60 non hook up sites left.

I'm considering this run, but I don't know what run to sign up for based on my jeep? I want to do the most challenging one, maybe dak can chime in as he's seen my rig.
