Bradshaw Trail Trip: November 2014

Hey All,

Exact Day is TBD but it will probably be on a Friday - Sunday trip.

Potluck on the first night!

November 15th - 17th or November 22nd - 24th

The Bradshaw trail is really really easy with some great little side trails and lots of history. It ends at the Hauser Geode Beds Saturday afternoon (where we will camp for the night). I'll continue on to La Paz Ghost Town for anyone who wants to come on Sunday.

Bradshaw Trail, Palm Springs - South Coast Field Office, Bureau of Land Management, California

The Bradshaw Trail, The Gold Road to La Paz - DesertUSA

Joe

Love the Bradshaw Trail. I have explored out there for years and usually fit in a few camping trips. I have put up some pics on this trail on a couple of threads.

I liked the Bradshaw as well, spent several camp trips at Corn Springs, and over at Coon Hollow, looking for geodes, and for nice agate and Chalcedony.

I might be interested. I read about this trail a while back and would like to see/learn more about the history out there.

Would this be kid friendly? I've always wanted to do the entire trail, only gone as far as the turn off to the Patton Museum.

I've been wanting a reason to take this trail, I'm always heading to Blythe for weekends it would be fun to spend a weekend getting there. If you end up going on the weekend before thanksgiving count me in.

Well lets get it planned. This far out either weekend should work so I will watch as my wife will have to request it off.

Gas. If we fill up before we leave a full tank will suffice?

Im assuming no services obviously, but my wife wants to know. Two days without a shower will make her cranky as will using a shovel.

Weather in November should be nice and brisk I would think its beautiful.

If you fill up at the Arco on the 86 and 66th ave, North end of the Salton Sea. You will be good to the border. That is with some of the side trips you should take.

Gas shouldn't be an issue…but it's always nice to carry 5 extra gallons! Dates will be confirmed in the next few days!

Alright! The official date of the trip is November 15th - 17th. Lock it in! The weekend before Turkey Day is usually pretty crowded. Looking forward to it!

More details to follow!

Hold on kids...

The wife and I would be interested in this trip. We would also participate in the pot luck. It's hard for me to commit this far out (just ask my wife), but I'm pretty sure we can go.

I just realized this trail is on the border and many hours away from where I live. I will probably spend more time on the road than the trail... but I guess it's worth it.
