BRUT4CE 4dr build

Sold the 2 Dr and grabbed a 2010 Rubicon 4dr fully loaded TVs in headrests for the kids, GPS, ICO next, nav, voice, leather etc....top has never been off 1 owner all receipts of maintenance and never OFF roaded, still under warranty.......has some 20s with 35s lol so now it has some race line be ad locks going on with 37s or 40s....

Started chopping the rear frame flipped the cross member reinforced the hitch remounted the body mounts between shocks and new cross member location....cut the front bumper....chopped off the exhaust did a magnaflow that dumps before the axle, relocated the evap canister....
Got some race line beadlocks and deciding between 37s and 40s.....
Did a dynatrac front diff cover....

So this weeks to do list is side armor rear corner armor, a tire carrier that swings out of the back with full storage under it, back door is getting removed, windjammer and bikini top will be the typical setup...

This build will be a while but will be a big brother to my red one.....all shock mounts are getting chopped relocated all arm pockets chopped and heavy duty ones welded on....synergy 4" springs and so on.....should be extremely capable and will be built solid....eventually d60/14 bolt swap.-..

So I chopped the frame on my 4dr like my red 2 Dr and this time I capped the ends being I am not extending the wheelbase....

Slapped internal gussets on sides and caps so it can land and slide on the outer edges without crushing...

That's looking sweet bud....I like what your doing with the rear frame/bumper.. high & tight
I figured you were up to something...
If you decide on a 14 bolt for the back are you thinking about giving it a shave...?

Yeah once things pick up I made a agreement with the wife if I went 4dr again it was headed to 40s 14/60 axles......

Chopping 4-6" off front of frame sold Rubi sway bar relocating a factory manual one and building a front bumper.....

Alot to do still.....

Made some mounts for dual duallys....1 spot on Top 1 flood next to it......
Figured since I dont do night runs alot and don't want a massive light bar this was good...ran 1 dually spot per side on my last one and worked out GREAT.... We do a lot of camping with the kids so this works out more than needed....

They put out a ton of light so night runs will be no issue, but small enough that out rock crawling and canyon runs they aren't in the way....

Got a quick question. The bumper/skid looks awesome. But it is a welded on unit. If something happens to it you have to cut it off to do any repairs. Could you do the same thing and make it a bolt on?

Hey bud when the time comes for new axles a great axle for the rear that is almost always overlooked would be the smaller 14 bolt from GM. It has a 9.5 ring gear and a much smaller housing for both less weight and clearance along with good aftermarket support.
It is very strong and can be found in both 6 or 8 lug patterns.
It can be found in both 65"(same as Jk) & 67" widths.
Just something to think about...

Started my front bumper, it will have a winch fairlead mounted to the front as well as d-rings sticking through the front plate. Deciding on a stinger or leave it...

I copied the lower design of my PS bfh for simplicity but changed a couple items more...

Started my CJ grill cut as well...chopped 3"+ off the front of the frame to accommodate a better approach angle.
Bumper has 3 gussetts in the lower section and is solid ready for the rocks....It will be dialed when I get the winch to fill it in the light bar and do a couple more custom goodies to it....

And of course you can see the grill chopped here I need to do some finish work and some flush mount led turn signals...

I really like that front bumper, also love the orange accents since I sort of have a thing for orange You should seriously consider marketing that bumper if you haven't already.

Did a rear wall with the windjammer fixed to it. Got tired of exhaust smell, dust and it needed it...
All the stuff is bolted in and can be unbolted and removed quickly as well....
Its desert season and sometimes rains so I wrapped it up to make it water right as well....some silicone, weather strip tape helped do it....

wanted the front end cover in for canyons and crawling so went with a 3" wide flat fender to match the width of my sliders and rear armor tubes...

Not finished but did this in a couple hours today so finish tomorrow.

Lifted the jeep another 1.5" finally got it where I want...

Did locker over ride so I can control front or rear seperatly and 4hi if needed as well as rear in 2hi.

Made my own spring retainers front and rear to hold the springs in so I can now relocate shock mounts...

Bent the front clips over a bolt same size as spring and the rear plates are body mount washers and
welded the threaded bolt end to the perch.

Buddy got me a max ax so I mounted it on the roll bar and made some bars and riveted ot to the inside wall behind seats.....
Used a bolt with rubber bushing and a lug nut with the small center sleeve to center axe and push down keeping it centre and not wallowing out square hole or rattling....
Lower is bracket with pin going through handle at end with lock on it.

Awesome work, I like the way it turned out! I recognize those local trails. Where did you get your dust lights? I've been meaning to get one, just have to figure out where to mount it.
