Don't forget the Sheriff & CHP are cracking down big-time on the roads leading in/out of JV right now, they're handing tickets out for even minor excursions over the speed limit. Y'all have fun though, that trail sounds fun.

I'm glad to hear Unlimited's Jeep is going to bve OK andf that your making it. Jerry and Tiny, I was looking forward to meeting you but it seems it will have to wait for a future event.

This past Sunday we ran Cakewalk which crosses Bullfrog in several points then we ran hammerdown.

Here's the video. Enjoy and I'll see you guys this Sunday!

Ok, I'm back from Virginia without damage (or, apparantly the swine flu) and will be getting ready tomorrow and Saturday.

Debbie baked me a ton of brownies to bring, so bring your insulin.

Can't wait!

I don't think I have to worry about her driving the Jeep very far. She just got herself a 95 Mustang GT that she is in love with. I am actually feeling left out, haha.

Sorry guys, we really would love to be there. It's just a bad time with closing and the move. Plus, my front diff is black as night. I need to get it to the shop (still under warranty) but there's just so dang much with the house. Seems like everyday Ron emails that he needs something right NOW for closing.

We'll get Baby all fixed up as soon as we're in the house and Bob's your uncle.

Run that motor with the stock D35 and D30? Should hold up, right?

Have fun everyone.

NWS is forcasting wind for Sunday. Why!!! This happened on my last trip across the desert. Driving in the wind SUCKS!!!!

Quote:
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Got my Jeep back yesterday and was driving it to work this morning when the CEL came on and the transmission went into "Limp" mode again. I guess the fricken $900 valve body replacement wasn't the answer.... so it's going back to the shop this afternoon.

That puts me out of the run on Sunday! Damm.... I was really looking forward to it too. Take good notes Rob and Larry, so you can lead the group in November. Also, keep your eyes out for camping spots, etc...

Have fun, I wish I was going...

Man, I hope they find the problem soon. We will miss seeing you out there Sunday.
I'm heading out Saturday and spending the night in Hesperia. We'll look for camp sites, from what I gather there is a place nearby.

Also there is a group going out next week with BLM to mark the trail route which will make it easier for those who have never been find their way through.

Are you sure you'renot looking up the forecast for cataline Island? I'm not finding any report of high winds. It is going to rain on Saturday, that means Bullfrog will be wet and slippery...just the way I like her!

Did that sound a little dirty or is it just me?

Oh I'll be there, wind or not.

Its just that the jeep is a handful driving across the desert in the wind. On my last crossing the winds were 45mph gusting to 60mph. Thats a freaking white knuckle ride.

If I don't have to sleep within 35' of Rob's tent, no "wind" can scare me away!
