Are you doing the loop on Saturday the 12th? Or Sunday? I might be in for a day trip on the 12th.

I definitely want in on the raffle. How much are the tickets?

I love Calico. Used to go there as a kid all the time.

I didn't know there was a trail there tho. Sounds awesome. I'll try to make it.

Okay I am going to get a new bumper, but I was planing on un-bolting the stock one lol. New jeep don't have any marks just yet :-) Thanks for the offer to ride along also! Have wife and dog with me though. But maybe will see if we can come out for the day and find some good areas to roam around, I know there is some easy trails out there also.

Agree with this. I did the doran loop as one of my first runs on 33's, 2.5" lift, rails, skids and diff covers. I struggled, but made it through (damaged rear DS). I wouldn't consider doing it with any less of a build. Many would recommend a locker or at least limited slip.

Eh I did it completely stock just fine ... Puckered the whole way but no more than some banged up skid plates ... That being said I wouldn't recommend it ... I'm a trained dumb ass and I had awesome spotters ... Elmo if there is enough interest I can lead some folks through the milder parts of calico so no one is left out or feels pressured to do something they aren't comfortable with ... Stocker friendly so long as you have AT tires at minimum ... Street tires are as good as goners out there

Driver skill (or lack of sanity lol) should also be taken into consideration. I had very little experience and felt overwhelmed at many points in the day. I've seen stockers do John Bull too, but just wouldn't recommend it.

I just hit the trails out there last weekend and it was great, no rock piles due to the rain made it a little more difficult than normal. I will try to make it out for a day run, but I may have to go out of town on the weekend of the 12th. I will let you know closer to time!

We have had our reservations for a while now to run with Pt. Mugu. We will be arriving on Friday and staying until Sunday. I will be in a white TJ and my buddy will be in a grey XJ.
See you all out there.
