Must be an Apple thing.

I dumped my iphone last week for a droid phone. Now I can say I hate Apple!

That's funny. My boss has a droid, and I had to use my iPhone to figure out the hard reset when his phone froze. And 42% of all cell phones are Apples. They must do something right. Lol

When it's too hot, we wheel at higher elevation. Big Bear is the popular summer spot because when the IE is 100+ degrees, Big Bear is low to mid 80's.

There's always somewhere to wheel!!

It's never to hot to wheel. Just bring lots of water then. There's something Hellish about Calico and JV in July that can't be passed up. Lol

built my dad a nice xl.....nothing fancy but it flexes decent with the 4.5" kit and 31's. It dosent have a ton of clearence and factory gears/no lockers but we could perhaps tag along on one of the easier trails until mine shows up.

Heading out to King of the hammers on the 7th ( 3rd year...its a blast)

By all means... Cleghorn would be good. Nightmare/last chance you can get through without lockers and much clearance. Need skids and rails though. Just about anything in DV you can do.

Oh that guy Just make sure chuck is there to spot lol It does wonders. Also be easy on the skinny pedal, a rubi is gear'd low enough you barely need it. Adding throttle just breaks/dents/scrapes/bends/wears on stuff out.

Yeah, 4lo, locked and 1st gear are for stuck moments only. Most of the guys I know with manuals use 2nd or 3rd while in 4lo and locked. Autos normally stay in 2 unless more is needed than 1. Then hang on cause you are gonna go. Not fast but you are gonna go.

The way I was taught long ago was "throttle control." In the off road car try not to use the brake, and anticipate what's ahead by decreasing or increasing the throttle.. And when you do use the brake try using left foot. Harder than you think with a standard trans, but when you are good at it gas and brake work together. They told us on the road course "think of a string that is attaching your foot to the steering wheel" when the wheel starts to turn the foot starts up. When the wheel starts to go straight, the foot goes down. Funny I can remember this chit and couldn't tell you what I had for dinner last night..

Awesome. If you aren't in the field tomorrow come join us at Last Chance. Not as rough as Calico.

Wish I could, but we are on a 2hr recall status. If a warno comes down, I get notified and have to put my game face on. But I do have a 2day and 4 day weekend early Feb, that I will be more than willing to go have some fun with my new toys/gadgets.
