Nice! With the new axles you might make it!

If not, um, we'll winch you out...

I hope to make it out there at least Saturday. Never been to Calico, never seen this small obstacle you call "The Gatekeeper", and never seen Russ's new axles. Why wouldn't I want to go. Mark.

I don't mean to be self-centered and all, but can we just change the date? Or can you guys discuss this somewhere else so I don't see it? And no further discussion about new axles please. And no fun. And no Gatekeeper. Its only fair.

Sigh. Un-subscribing now.

Sorry Jen. I know you won't see this because your un-subscribing now, but if I go, it won't be to have fun, it will be because, ah well, because ah, you know, just in case somebody needs a hand. Mark.

Yeah why wouldn't ya....hope you make it down Mark, Calico is pretty cool! We went down 4 or 5 times last season. The gatekeeper is crazy and body damage is likely
I will spot for you though. I don't know if you tent camp or have something else, but they have spots for about anything if you want to stay Saturday night.

Calico is a lot of fun Mark. You'll love it. Lots of waterfalls to climb.

in the summer I miss Calico. In the winter I miss Big Bear. Right now I'm looking forward to Calico. Always interesting to see how the trails have changed.

Funny how the squeeze looks in pics as opposed to actually driving across it, haha.

Bill, I am going on a small road trip on the bike the week before with my wife so I do not think I am going to make this run. Maybe next time. Have a great time out there.

Sounds good Brad...have you ever been to Calico?

You have a real nice Jeep there and there are some rough parts at Calico..

Yea we went earlier this year when my jeep was totally stock.. Had a blast. OH, we went on what seemed to be easy trails. No matter, if I have to I can turn around or man up (most likely man up) .. Are we camping inside the camp ground?

Hiya!

Hey, that guy in that video didn't know what he was doing. I've lead countless runs up that section, and all of Calico, and none of us has pulled a stunt like that...day or night.

Great! I didn't mean to sound like you wouldn't be up to it, I just don't know everyone's comfort level and based on your profile I wasn't sure, but hey its a Rubicon right... In fact you wont be the only Unlimited Orange Rubicon there...

There are 4 or 5 of us in MHs or 5th wheels in the upper campground in the
C16 area, but as you know Calico has tent spaces as well. We plan to get there early enough on Friday to get some wheeling in and more on Sunday and leaving Sunday.

Agreed, that guy was a nut. I think he says something like "that's how your supposed to do it" when he stopped....Like Lorie said, many times past that spot slow and easy with just a bit of pucker and its good.

Also Remember that JKs are 6" wider than most TJs, so if in doubt let one of them go 1st...

I didn't take what you were saying bad at all, my profile is way off

I hope we can camp close to you all. We just sold off our Weekend warrior 48 footer 5th wheel and truck. We had a great set up and to many toys, then the kids grew up and moved out so why have all that space for 2. Right now we are back to tenting and loving it. Camp Grounds are nice for showers and cleaning dishes

I am trying to figure out how to update my profile, I have done a bit of work to my jeep as everyone does, I still don't have the armor I want buts the Rubicon come with OK rock sliders.
I just sleeved and gusseted my front axel, and put on some sliders on the mounting points, Looing to install the PS Crusher rock sliders and fender. But that will come with time..
