Hey All, We have a few peeps camping at Calico Campground over new years weekend and plan to do some runs around Calico and maybe down the highway for a day at Stoddard.

I am not sure exactly what day, but we will run the loop for sure....

The dates we will be there are Dec 31st to 3rd or 4th.
I will put the runs down as we get closer and see where the
interest is.... :beerdrinking:

Level will be mostly Difficult - Min of 33" tires and a locker would be advised

Sounds good Rick!

I would join but sadly no locker :( hahahah i don't need a locker i just need a good spotter and possible tug. Count me in for a day or two
We can supply both the spotter and the tug!!

My dad and I will probably be running the loop and some "extra" Calico fun on new years day, the only day we get off from work. If y'all decide that's when you want to do the loop we would be more than down to run with y'all it's been a while!
We might actually run the loop new years day....I know that's a holiday and I'm not sure how many are working that Friday....maybe Stoddard on Friday

I would be incline to join you peeps also for a day or two also.....

- Tony
Welcome Tony!

Just an update on the runs, It looks like we will do the Calico loop (both Canyons) on New years day and head over to Stoddard on Friday. We have 4 of us camping in the MH spots that are confirmed on top of the possible peeps that are maybes. I think there will probably be another run on Saturday with some of the others, but we are heading back that day.... :)

Well its been a while, stoggard wells sounds good to me on friday, then calico loop on new years day sounds good too. Should have my piece all ready to roll. Will be my first run on 35s, flat belly, highsteer, and out boarded rear shocks, so it should be interesting to say the least. I think doug is trying to talk me into the gate keeper something kinda awful too.

For those who don't know I broke my right hand and I'm in a cast. Yes I'm right handed. But that will not stop me! I can still drive with my left hand, so I will be there. Oh, I just picked some killer recovery gear that I'm dying to use. So I will be grateful if someone get stuck. LOL

I was going to start it at 9am, but since its New Years day, Cold and we have some day trippers coming in, lets start at 10am. We can meet at the trail head off of Ghost town road to air down at about 930. As noted it will be Very Cold so dress yourself and your jeep accordingly...and bring a lunch or something to eat....We will take a food break, maybe at Wall street. CB channel 4

Here is the attending / maybe list, updated from an earlier post. Please respond if you are down as coming and will not be attending....and Hey Joe's & Phil, what's your status?

I don't keep track of coordinates, but see if this post by Armand helps. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f55/calico-questions-1028553.html

Are you booked up for Friday or is there still room? I'm not even sure I can get the day off from work, but I'd love to run some good trails at Stoddard wells. Let me know and I'll see if I can get off work.

Jim
We are playing Friday loose and its not full so you are welcome to join, it will be Stoddard, just not sure what part. That depends on who goes etc.

Im trying to figure out if the 2 hour drive in the morning is worth it to come out there for thursdays run.. .hmmm
A 2 hour drive is long....I have only done Calico once or twice as a day trip because of that...before I got an RV I stayed in the local hotel...

The gatekeeper calls, I'll spot ya!
There ya go...Doug has your answer :)

Hey guys I'd love to join you. We can probably do NY day. I'm doing NY eve with another Jeeper in Arrowhead who I think would be down for NY day also. I'll also do Friday at Stoddard. Question, what would be the meeting spot and time on NY day?
