California Forum Before and Now Pictures of your Jeep

How about let's post up some old photos of your Jeep's. Start with when you bought it and then tell us what you have done to make it yours. Of course we would need a now pic to go along with the description. I'll Start. Day one right off the dealers lot. Next week was 35 inch KM2's on 17 inch Black Razors no lift but cut the rock rail. Now it's week three and it's in JPi's shop for a 3.5 inch RK X factor lift and arms with RK shocks, Evo sleeves and gussets, Evo/JPi under armor, Currie Correctlync, Cobra 75 radio, Tom Woods 1350 driveshafts, RCV Axles, Chromo rear axle, and a Bully Dog Tuner. More Pic's next week.
Post em up kids. Show off your baby.

I can't believe it's been a year since I picked up this Jeep. Bone stock the first day. Currently running 3" suspension with 1 " body on 35's, Metal Cloak control arms, Currie track bars, and a ZJ tie rod. I have a Ford 8.8 I've been working on putting in, along with 4.88s and a full case detroit locker. I do kind of wish I had gone with a 9" though...I'm also welding up tube fenders, front bumper/stinger with a warn 9000lb winch, full cage, and a rear tire carrier. Looks like I'm going to need to put up another picture pretty soon

Maybe once I wheel my JK hard I won't miss my TJ so much. Don't get me wrong I love my JK but the short wheelbase was just so easy to get thru and over stuff.

That's a beautiful CJ. I looked at buying a 304 powered Golden Eagle but bought a YJ instead. That's a little torque monster.

I do not have any before pictures. I bought the Jeep brand new April 23rd, 2005. I had the lift, tires and bumpers done on May 16th, 2005. Just imagine a bone stock 2005 Rubicon.

After: Wife driving on the Rubicon

Man...these jeeps have come a long ways from when you all first got them.
I'd like to hear how you became interested in jeeps and what trail/s did you run that got you hook?
Keep up the good work...there's always more mods to be had...lol

So can't resist the fun.
2012 JK BASE Sport. 3" lift w/Fox resi's & bump stops went on within a few months. Figured we'd be done at that point. LOFL. Many mods, tires, beers in the garage and moons later....Elvira still isn't done. My poor mechanic.
(She's just cute as a bug in that first pic.)

Use to do a lot of Martial Arts stuff. Hurt my back and had to quit. Then I got really sick and lost my balance and my wind. Sold the Motorcycle.. I was looking for something I could do that would be exciting and I could do sitting down. Here I am..

2013 JKU. 35" tires and 2.5" teraflex coil lift and rock sliders.

The reason why i decided to get my jeep is freedom and versatility. I can go anywhere i want, i can take off the top and door. Looks rugged and mean.

When i got hooked up. My work trip to Massachusets. I saw lots of good looking jeeps outhere, not too many jeeps in my area. Most cars here are fancy and slick bmw, mercedes, honda, toyota etc- sick of these cars. Jeep really fits my lifestyle. I own it for 4 month now and can't be happier.

Oh Yeah. Rubicon LJ's are almost the most perfect factory off road vehicle ever produced. Modded they just get better.

Is that a WWP sticker on your Jeep? If so best mod I've done yet.

The day the Pumpkin came home March 1, 2012

I had the build figured out before the Jeep arrived, I ordered it and had 3 months to figure it out.
Rock Hard front & rear bumper/tire carrier, Warn Powerplant winch, Lazerstar light bar, Synergy 3.5 lift, Synergy full skid system, Ace rock sliders, Poison spyder front & rear diff covers, a set of 35" MTR Kevlars & 35" Duratracs along with my 2yr old grandsons Recaro car seat, lol.

This past March in Calico:

The TJ was pretty built when we got it this past June 2013.....4.5" long arm lift, 35" MTR Kevlars, 9" rear end, chromolly front axles, Atlas 2, 5:1 transfer case, Mastercraft seats with harness, Poison Spyder full roll cage, Poison spyder denders, front & back, Poison Spyder rock sliders & front bumper, Banks intake & exhaust, rear detroit locker.

But that hasn't stopped the mod bug. We've added: front anti-sway, 2 sets of rigid dually's, spidershade, an Eaton E front locker, Tuffy cargo lock box, swapped the Warn bumper/tire carrier for an OrFab crawler rear bumper and tire carrier and a few other misc. items. You really are never done

Growing up only 3 miles from Pismo, my dad always had some type of offroad vehicle. Either a buggy, Scout, Bronco or Jeep and every weekend we were out somewhere off roading. As I got older he started taking me on his hunting trips and letting my drive whatever 4-wheeler he had (so he could watch for deer and drink a beer, lol) When I got married my husband had the same interests and we always had some type of off road toy. We went for quite a few years without doing any off roading while we were building a business and raising our two kids. Now we are blessed enough to have free time and be financially secure enough to go out and play. It's been an awesome year of wheeling and making amazing friends....thanks to everyone that has welcomed us

First pic is on my second run, Cleghorn in late 2011. I had new wheels, but the rest was stock. Oh so innocent and unassuming...

Calico for the WF meetup 3/2012. This is also the one and only time my wife has gone wheeling with me. It was mostly fire road, yet my driving still managed to scare her enough into never going again.

This was after my first lift and 33's. Like many others around here, I listed my 33's for sale within hours of mounting them (Well, 8 months really...). This was with a 2.5" lift, Ace rails, Rubi Rails and some skids.

Last one is yesterday somewhere in Arrowhead. After doing a front axle swap, locking the rear with ARB, 35's, 4" springs, Shrockworks bumpers front and rear, flat fenders, soft top.

Next will either be better shocks with reservoir (probably Fox) or a front Anti-Rock. Eventually when these tires wear out, I'll put on 37" on beadlocks.

I got into wheeling after oddly buying a 2008 Jeep Patriot. My obsession began at the dealer staring at the Wrangler I really wanted, but wasn't practical at the time. I was doing a lot of driving for work back then and needed a 4 cyl that had some cargo space and could hold a few child seats.

After things changing at my work and not driving as much, I was able to trade in my 4 cyl, fuel efficient vehicle, for something that wastes fuel like it's free.

My fascination for 4x4's began in high school when a friend had a lifted Toyota pickup. We hit mostly local fire road trails. He totaled the Toy rolling on a steep hill. Nobody was hurt, I wasn't with him when he did it.

I just like the feeling of getting away from cities and out where the air is clean and the only noise is from what you're doing echoing off the scenery.
