Especially after they needed the strap huh? I always say it's 90% driver anyways. Wait until I get her locked up. Everyone who knows me says I'll be dangerous. Like I'm not already. Lol

Lorie, did you figure out your oil light, it was a bit concerning. The comments on the cb were funny.

" I thought they came with oil in them?!?!"

Ordered clutch, and end link pins, probably order a set of 4.88 gears this week as well. Trying to get the wife to let me order all the fenders and armor, she's not biting yet.

Lol.

Funny, I told her it was pricey but cheaper than body work; she nodded. Ill probably hit you up for the gear install though, you made it sound simple enough.

Haha sounds good kenny. What do you need? I've got an in. Lb. Torque wrench, but I don't know what else you'd need.

Inch lb beam style torque wrench. Something to hold the pinion when you crush the crush sleeve. Dial indicator, big 1/2 ratchet, 1/2 drive torque wrench. Dremel or something of that nature to hog out the factory carrier bearings to get the backlash right. Are you just putting gears or gears and lockers, nick?

I would be going gears and an Aussie up front and just gears and maybe a limited slip out back. I don't really want to lock my 35..

I either have or have access to that list. I'd just be regearing, probably truss the rear axle while the housing is empty. I guess we need that paint shit too for the pattern right?

Seriously one of the easiest rear ends to set up. Are you going from a flange to a yoke?

Thats cool. Hope your getting along with dad. I put both of our bikes up for sale today. Loosing more mobility in my right leg. But ya know when i'm in the jeep, I'm a regular mountain goat.

Well a slip yoke is what's in the back of a transmission. The 8.8 comes with a flange but when you swap new gears in it you can put a yoke on it instead. Putting a yoke on it you can easily swap your drive shaft into it as long as its the same size u joint. Do you have a slip yoke eliminater already on your t-case to get a longer rear shaft? Since the 8.8 has a little longer pinion gear you'll need a shorter driveshaft or you can just limit your up travel so it doesn't bottom out the splines in it. I suggest you read up on the swap a lot more before you just dive into it.

Don't forget a CV DS either. It goes hand in hand with the slip yoke eliminator. And to adjust the pinion angle, or drop the T-Case. And the freaking list goes on and on. Lol

I'm more of a fan of raising the engine an inch instead of dropping the t-case/transmission an inch
