Central California

I am a new jeep owner, 2012 jeep jk rubicon. I am looking for people that wheel in the area. Fresno to Bakersfield area. Low key family types who don't mind kids being around.

I don't wheel the sand anymore...you should come on out and hit up Miller with us when she opens end of May We'll do Yellow Jacket as well. Camp on the top of the mountain where there's nothing but huge pine trees and pine cones..it's gorgeous!

Fraizer mountain out by Hungry Valley, Gorman. In fact, Miller ends at the top of Alamo mountain which will dump you into Hungry Valley.

We're hittin' up Calico next weekend..you should come! All kinds of trails..easy to difficult. Camping Thursday- Sunday

You all have fun at calico. I am out of town in vacation with the family. Let me know if you do Gorman. That is only a two hour drive for me.

Miller's not open yet...but maybe we'll go tool around Hungry Valley in April. I haven't been there forever. It's all pretty easy there, but it's always a good day when you're in your Jeep. And, it'll be nice to drive just over an hour instead of the 3.5 hours to Calico. Circle canyon is my fav place to camp because it's off the main drag and it has the best views..I need to hang another flag on Quails pass trail...and I always see deer out there. Be fun! Maybe April 6th weekend? Or the 20th weekend?

Do you need lockers to go into these trails? How far is it front the central coast

No..you don't even need lockers for Calico. Hungry Valley is pretty easy..google/you tube pronghorn, Quails pass, Vic's Cat, and Sterling trails...you'll get an idea of what's there. It's a good place for beginners. They have a practice area as well with obstacles... Mapquest Gorman..SLO is less than 2 hours for me here in Ventura. Gorman's an hour and 15 minutes for me...so you're looking at 3-3.5 hours..if ya camp, it's not too bad and worth it. Hell, I drive to Calico all the time. Big Bear is just as far for me as well..if you want to wheel, you have to drive to get there! Plus, you can't beat the company

That sucks. So what you do is leave Saturday after work, camp for the night and wheel Sunday.

This next weekend is Calico, so either April 6th weekend or 20th. I'll hit up my local friends and see if they want to putt around Gorman.

I'll post up when I know for sure. Right now, it's looking like the 6th weekend; one of my friends wants to go, but needs to wait to confirm..

Welcome to the Central Coast, what do you drive? I'll look for you on the road around here.

My husband and I live in Nipomo, I work in SLO. I had an 02 TJ I sold a couple weeks ago. I just got a 2012 Unlimited Rubicon that we ordered in December. So when you see a big Orange Crush Rubicon driving around, it's me It's the only one around, at least at this point.

Before I can go wheeling I have to get my back up YJ on the road, does anyone have, or know anyone that has, a working 4cyl YJ computer for sale?
