Central Valley Wheeling?

So I'm relatively new to the forum thing and I've been in the Central Valley for 3 years and not once other than a few last minute trips to Hollister with a couple buddies have I ever done an organized trip. It's been almost a year since the last time I hit a trail in my TJ and was curious if anything was in the works in the near future for a trip to the Sierras or even Pismo. I'm going to be out to sea for a couple weeks as of July 5th but hoping (fingers crossed) to be back by the 17th.

There are lots of good trials in the Sierra's east of Shaver lake. You can check out the local clubs for other info., too. Fresno 4WD club, Clovis Independents, ect.

Some trails here are actually quite extreme. Dusy/Ershim is somewhat well know, and is up here. Swamp lake trail is also a tough one. Both are every bit as tough as the Rubicon. (and much closer) If you want less extreme, then Bald Mtn. is good and still alot of fun.

We went up to Bald mtn in mid april I think and it was closed, which is unfortunate because I love playing in the snow. I settled for sledding at shaver. I hadn't gone sledding since I was 10

Gofish I'm about 20 min from Visalia. A couple friends and I are working out details for a Hollister trip in August if you're interested. (actually I'll just say it's open to anyone. Networking!)

Yeah I'm really interested in going. I was gonna go to the 4wheel parts customer appreciation day on July 22. I been waiting on parts from them for 6 weeks, so hopefully my jeep will be done by then. My jeep is usable, I'm just doing upgrades to it.

A little above shaver lake is some intermediate to easy 1 day trails that i like. West lake and strawberry lake are easier trails. West lake takes less than 45 minutes to get to and strawberry is a little further than that but i have havent gone to strawberry yet. Red lake and Coyote lake are the intermediate trails. Red is beautiful and takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hours from the trail head. Coyote is a little further and harder. about another 45 to 60 minutes i think. I've only done that trail once. Red is my favorite.

Cool, let me know where? When? I'll try to make some time to join you. Always looking for ppl to wheel with. I'm still pretty new but that's how you learn. If you can let me know a little in advance that would be great. I only have a 4" lift with 33's so I hope that's capable on your trails.

I'm only about 20 minutes away from you and I'll be off this thurs-sat but still have some stuff going on on base in Lemoore if you wanna meet up and try to figure something out. I'm only running a 4" with 33's as well with open diffs and I believe my torque converter isn't long for this world so I don't plan on doing any hard charging.
