****clawhammer****

OK guys do to the Tin Benders event we couldn't run this Sunday.
So let's set this one up for Sunday the 27th. We will run ClawHammer but depending on the rigs and how the group feels.... if your comfortable with it I'd like to run Lower Big Johnson & possibly AFTERSHOCK as well....but we'll see how the day goes for us. These are bunny trails as far as JV trails go with AfterShock being slightly more difficult (I ran it last weekend at FITD) the the other two.
This is the natural next step up in difficulty from Matino wash and Marble Canyon.
The requirements for this run is minimum of 35" tire ,lockers front & rear , tow hooks front & rear and a good ability to drive your jeep.
Thanx for looking

Let the number of rigs determine whether you do Aftershock after the other two. If you have more than 5 rigs and aren't at the last fall on Aftershock by about 4pm, it may be a bit rough.

We led the run on Aftershock for the Tinbender Jambo several years ago when the trail was a bit easier. The requirement was 33" tires and 1 locker. We had the 38 rig group to the last fall by 11am or so and didn't get them all through the upper section until well after 4pm. A bit over an hour to get everyone to the fall, more than 5 hours to get them all up it and that was with the 3-4 tries and you're on the cable rule in place. (loosely enforced because you can see who has a fair chance at making it and who doesn't)

Forgot to ask where you are meeting to start the run?

Yeah I realize that running all three is kind of a stretch but I'm sure we won't see more than 4 or 5 rigs for this one so I thought I'd through out the possibility of more trails. I feel that with such a small group that we'll blow through ClawHammer and with such a long drive for most I'd like to give them their $$'s worth...so to speak. Your right about AfterShock once your up " depreciation nob" which is fun in its own right the whole upper section is fun but can be a lot work to get through if you don't pick the right line. We got a guy through there on 33"...he did a good job picking his lines and made easy work of some of the sections that gave guys on 37/38s a tough time.
I think we'll just have to play it by ear and see who's up for what.

It's been awhile since I've been in from that side, but if I'm not mistaken that puts you on the Means Dry Lake Bed at around 9am at the earliest. What time were you going to head for the trails?

I've done some work on the rig to refresh it a bit and I need to do a shakedown before our Thanksgiving trip so I'm considering tagging along for the day if that's okay?

I know I'll be cutting it tight but I'd like to be @ Boones rd & old Woman by no later the 8:40 to air down...then I would like to stop to check tires again and have a little drivers meeting once we get to the sand hill.

Steve, if my Jeep is still in one piece after running a few Hammer trails during the week, I might just hook up with ya. Has been awhile. When do you wanna hit up your other playground? wouldn't mind playing out there sometime this winter either.

I cant speak for the trails, but your jeep does great and your driving is good...you do need more armor though....

My passenger seat is open and I'm pretty sure I could use a good spotter

That's cool what you guys did for Mike....he's a great guy that has done a lot out there for us all.
