That sounds like fun to me, I'm down. What is the difficulty level of Marble Canyon? I have a guy coming with in a lifted Durango.

Last time i went wheeling at cleghorn i split off from a group that was going there after because i had a prior commitments and they said there is only one tricky part but there is a bypass for it. But then again i couldnt tell you for myself so take that with a grain of salt

On a 1 to 10 scale, the hardest part of Cleghorn is maybe 3½. Marble Canyon is much closer to a 4½. Dishpan Springs - maybe a 5 at the most. Mottino Wash was close to a 5½. Holcome Creek was getting close to 6½ for me. I'm sure others would have slightly different numbers for those locations, but that should give you some idea.

Sweet good to see you again!

Are we running this backwards? If so, where do we meet?

Are we doing marble canyon?

I just want to know if we are starting at the bridge or at the lake and can I drive it forward or do I have to use reverse? LOL

Prob makes more sense to run it forward and end at the lake if folks want to head up to other trails after Cleghorn.

I think your mistaking MC for another trail... maybe 2N17x?
MC is a tricky canyon that is 90% all rocks that move ...Something that Cleghorn dose not have.

Have you tried to take any sort of head count on how many to expect Sunday morning? I don't know for sure, but to me it looks like it could be a flock. As Steve says "Let's go wheelin"

I would love to join you guys, havnt taken my new jeep wheeling yet. And as far as i can tell cleghorn sounds pretty easy. I have a pretty well built jeep, If i can find a friend to come with me ( passanger ) i will come. Hope to see you all there and just an opinion, you guys should try to make a list of people who are coming just so we know what and who to expect... just an idea, throwing it out there.

I hope you got to keep the bones for that pittance of an offer from the insurance company. You could probably get close to breaking even if you kept the tires, rims, engine, tranny, and transfer case. Otherwise.....you got screwed!

Havn't changed my signature, that was almost 2 years ago, but I bought the car back from them for $300 fixed it up a bit and sold it, ended up losing a few hundred dollars. But at least now i know to have full insurance and UNINSURED coverage!

Ok boys & girls.....it looks like WOXNROX (Steve) will not be able to make this run tomorrow. Does anyone else know the way to get into Marble Canyon? I can get us close, but not sure where to turn off of the trail getting to the start of the marbles.

Is the plan still Cleghorn, or has it changed to MC? How long is the trek through Cleghorn? I'm on-call this weekend, but thinking of taking the risk.....

Cleghorn is about 17 miles start to finish but if you had to leave you just get on the dirt road and go. The fun stuff is all the little off shoots from the main dirt road.

Rich.....where do you get 17 miles out of Cleghorn? You must me talking about from the fwy exit, (that 2 miles or so up the fire road), thru the trail (to Lake Silverwood), and back to the fwy again by way of the 138. The trail itself, is more like 4 or 5 miles isn't it?

Cleghorn is still the plan, but some of us were going to go to MC after that. MC is at least a couple steps up on the difficulty chart from Cleggy tho.

I thought I clocked it once but I could be wrong. I am usually wrong. OK I am ALWAYS wrong.

See you in the AM.
