Friday, October 9 a few of us will be making a run up to Cleghorn in the Cajon Pass. Most of the difficult areas of Cleghorn have been closed off, but there are still some fun/tough hills and spots (most with bypasses) - perfect for a new/beginner to learn on.
Will will start at the Cleghorn Rd exit on Interstate 15 and will finish a few hours later on Highway 138, near Silverwood Lake.
The weather should be perfect, so call in sick and come join us!
Date: Friday, October 9 2015 Time: Meet at 9AM/roll-out by 9:30AM Location: Cleghorn Road exit, I-15 (Click HERE for the map) Comms: CB Channel 13

I am dropping my wife off at 8am in downey. I would love to go if I could make it there in time. What channel will you be on and will you be playing at the tower for a bit?
We'll be running channel 13 .. I will by testing/practicing with my new gears so we will probably spend at least a few minutes at Edison Hill.
You might just be able to make it from Downey in time.. Traffic should not be bad going east.
Bob.....haven't you taught your wife the tuck and roll technique? If you have, and you're leaving Downey by 08:00 hours, you'll be right on time.....LOL
I just want to test my new 4.88s and make it home before my son gets out of school.. It's in my backyard and doesn't take long, so it's the perfect place.. I thought I'd invite others along because i'm just a sweetheart.. I would say Cougar Buttes is my favorite trail/spot but it's over an hour away..heck 2 hours with my 4.88s ..
A great Run yet again Randy. Thanks so much. It was nice seeing you again John and nice meeting you Dan and Josh. Will look forward to more practice. I think I am getting better and braver. Will post some photos when I get them downloaded.
It was nice to see you and Robin again Peggy.. Good to see you again Dan and nice to meet you Josh! Glad you got your rig running so you didnt miss out on the fun..
Dan and Peggy - the back half was ROUGH! the hills were pretty easy to get up, but the backsides were VERY rutted and had lots of boulders to get over/around.. pure pucker most of the way out!
it was good to meet everyone. Randy, thanks for the invite and Dan, thanks for the help getting my rig rollin' again. Despite a few set backs early, it was a good day on the trail. Lokking forward to the next outing.
Randy, thanks again for putting this together. Perfect timing for a short trip relatively close to home. Glad I missed the ruts. Not too worried about the safety issues, as those can easily be dealt with, and a slow flop isn't scary to me. I've had enough high speed ones it's just not a concern. But from the vehicle damage perspective, it's more of a concern for me. No unlimited budget here, LOL! When I get some mods done in suspension, and bigger tires, I'll likely be doing more extreme runs on occasion. But the chute was pretty cool, roof damage and all. I'll post some pics when I get them uploaded.
