Coral Canyon

The wife and I are taking the rig and dogs out to Coral Canyon this weekend.

Day run; leaving RB Sunday morning around 8, which should put us at four corners around 9:15-9:30.

We usually run sidewinder and bronco peak.
Dan

RB is Rancho Bernardo. 4 corners is the parking lot/gathering spot for coral canyon OHV. It's out by Alpine, in the Cleveland National Forest. Take 8 East and get off on Buckman Springs Road. Pass the high school (it's on your left), keep your eyes peeled for the sign to Coral Canyon OHV (it will be on your right). Follow that road for a few miles and you will end up at four corners. That road is not pleasant to drive on...too bumpy for me, so I air down and disconnect as soon as I make the turn. Smooths everything out! LOL!

If it makes you more comfortable, we can meet somewhere locally and head out there together.

Sorry, too far of a drive for me. I would need a weekend trip down to the area for this one as I live up by Raging Waters.

CNX run due to temperatures. Next weekend looks like better temps.

I was going to chime in and meet with you at the 4 corners but I wasn't sure about the weather and recent rain. I try to avoid mud at all costs. Thanks for posting now I won't feel like I missed out.

Glad I posted before you left! I'm not a HUGE fan of mud either, so I feel ya there. If the temps for next weekend stay in the 70's (as they are projected to) we will be there next Saturday morning. I'll start another run thread for it.

Keep me in mind the next time you do that run, I can't do it this coming weekend since I have to finish an aux transmission cooler repair then. I live next door to you in Escondido and haven't been out to Coral Canyon in 16-17 years and keep missing opportunities to do Bronco Peak for my first time.

A couple of us are heading out to Coral Canyon OHV on Sunday. Right now we are planning on meeting at 4corners around 9:30. Let me know who's in!
