Corvettes and Old Men

Thought maybe some of us could use a Hump Day Funny this morning!

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. "Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-94, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this," and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The old gentleman paused. Then he said, "Years ago, my wife ran off with a State trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, sir," replied the trooper.

*See, I can make fun of women too
Happy Wednesday everybody..can we go wheeling yet??

Lorie

I have to admit that one of the things I disliked about owning a Corvette was the stereotypes associate with the vehicle.

And after being on a Corvette forum for a couple years, I have to tell you many of them are true.

Good one!

Now for another.

An older gentleman is at the service desk of his local Chevy dealer and all he keeps saying is "I have to talk to the service manager" and no matter what the guy at the counter says he sticks to his line. So the counter guy gets the SM to come out and talk to him. The SM says "so tell me what is so important you have to tell me and not one of my guys?"

Well you see it's like this, I just bought my Corvette yesterday and was out for a drive and another Corvette wanted to race me so we found a good road to race on. Well when the light changed I had it in L for lunge, then as we got going faster I stuck it in D for drag and I really wanted to beat him so I threw it in R for race, now I gotts to see the SM!

Yeah, can't mention a Jeep in a joke about speeding...

Nice jokes. I'll have to admit that I've always wanted a corvette since I was a kid, and didn't realize the stereotypes until I mentioned it to my wife. Apparently Corvettes have the reputation of being old man, mid life crisis vehicles.

Jeeps on the other hand... oh wait.. Nevermind.

Ok, I got a quick one:

Why is divorce so expensive?

Because it's worth it!!

Yeah, that too.

Apparently red is the most stereotyped color and my Jeep is black. So I'm in the clear right??

I still like the 60's vette's.
