Been awhile since I've been on this forum. I'm usually on JF in the roll call LA thread. I think I met some of you guys on the LCC/Nightmare Gulch run a week or so ago? I'll keep an eye on this thread for when the next run comes up. I live in Phelan.

Hell yeah! ... I'm trying to get out about once a month ... work has me tied up at least 2 weekends a month ... plus gas is a killer ... at least it's back down under $4 here

I like to go up to Big Bear a lot and usually take the back way in via grapevine or coxey ... Phelan is right there ... so if you ever want to head up that way let me know

Will do. When the snow hits we tend to do a lot of last minute decided desert runs. We run a lot of the known trails but we also do a lot of desert exploring trips to break it up. Sometimes the exploring trips have more obstacles then the known trails.

Hey question for y'all ... I got a card on my windshield the other day for "Desert Concepts" in Victorville ... I guess they sell parts and do custom fabrication ... anyone have any experience with these guys?

Run it many times in jeep and on quads. Last run was on the blue moon in August. You can go all the way around and come back thru Lucerne or up to Big Bear for a visit. There is a surpise up there if you can find it... Motino Wash.

Motino is down in the canyon before you get to the road that heads West to Tip Top & BB. You prob don't want to do Motino solo, but Rattlesnake is fun for sure.

Yeah I've read about Motino on this forum before ...

Although a rattlesnake to heartbreak ridge might be a fun one ... maybe in the spring

Kinda hard to set a date right now ... December we got Last Chance .... January I'm looking at WOTR in St. George ... February will be maintenance (taxes = mods) ... so I'm looking at sometime after that ...

If WOTR falls through then that would be a good time ... but isn't motino mega rocky? ... i need sliders and better tires! ... which is what I am looking at with taxes .... sliders/lift/tires ...

Dude I think I saw your rig last time I was down in that area ... not too many black jeeps with green rims

How old are your boys? I grew up in the life ... my best memories were wheelin' with my dad ... I'm trying to get my girls excited about it ... I take them out from time to time ...

You should check out this run ... there are a potential of 28 rigs going

12/1/12 Last Chance Canyon & Burro Schmidt Tunnel (maybe Goler Gulch)

If ur gonna try for Moab this year...registration opens January 1....and it fills up FAST!...so get urself registered with rr 4 wheelers and they'll send u info...

For Matino wash u'll need sliders,at least 33s, one locker and at least 3" of lift...it's rocky...sweet!!

I can definitely wheel on the weekends between my already planed wheelin weekends ....lol

And I have an 8yr ol boy ...

Okay Moab might be out of the question this year ... I just checked the training schedule and it falls in the middle of training ... booo ... missed it by a weekend

33s/3" lift ... hmmm ... I can't overboard with mods due to lack of funds ... trying to keep the cost down since this is my DD also (gas mileage and all) ... i'm looking at 2 - 2.5" lift and staying on 32s (for now at least) ... should be plenty for what I want ... hell I pulled Calico off stock ... not sure if Motino would be too much for my goal setup

I'm too lazy to stack rocks ... i need a team of trained monkeys to do it for me ... lol ...

I'll probably just stick to the lesser trails until I hit the lottery or pay off my jeep ... whichever comes first!
