Ok, time for another run. Any interest in a new run from Drinkwater to Rowher Flats?
I have scoped this out and it is different, but real fun.
Let me know if the 10th or 17th works out better.
Enter off of San Francisco canyon just north of Santa Clarita (across the street from the entrance is the staging area):
34.526965, -118.532182
9:00am meeting time.

See you all tomorrow at the new meeting place off of San Francisquito Rd.
Here is a rough map (ignore the yellow, it wasn't mine):

Directions:

From I5 North, use the right lane to take exit 170 for Magic Mountain Pkwy (0.3 mi)

Use the 2nd from the left lane to turn left onto Magic Mountain Pkwy (0.1 mi)

Turn right onto The Old Rd (0.2 mi)

Continue straight to stay on The Old Rd (0.4 mi)

Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Rye Canyon Rd (1.2 mi)

Continue On Rye Canyon Rd which turns into Copper Hill Dr (2.8 mi)

Turn left onto San Francisquito Canyon Rd (5.0 to 6.0 mi).

Staging area (34.526965, -118.532182) is on the left. Entrance is across the street on the right.

So how was drink water and going up the boquet side of rowher? When I went down it a few weeks ago, the rains made some sections a bit more fun.

Drinkwater was a blast. I think the consensus is the run we did today is the best run we do. Love the Drinkwater side. One of the guys will post up a GPX file of the run we did. I will post up pictures shortly. One trail issue with a rear swivel link coming undone/breaking, but we were close to Bouquet so he nursed it home.

I had a lot of fun. Thanks, Lew for the directions on how to get down. I made it to the staging area pretty quickly.

Jake
No problem. Hope you made it home in time.
