I know what you mean Mark, I'm just trying to learn about the area so I can plan a trip. I cant make this one, but I might take the MH to Dinkey Creek campground in Sep and explore the area and do some of the trail...

Mark, Its not going to happen in September, we need at least 4 or 5 days to do it right and we cant do that in September. We will do something closer for our Sep trip. The whole Dusy are has a lot to be seen with the Lakes etc. so I'm looking forward to it...

Hey Bill...if you guys are gonna do it don't wait to long....last year it was closed by the end of October.
It all depends on the snow pack they get so it could be earlier this year....or latter of course lol

he is right....they try to keep it open till the end of hunting season, but if it starts to snow they will close it earlier.

Take hwy 41 north, Take the Friant road exit, turn right onto Friant road,
Turn right on Copper, turn left on Aubery road. It is about 20 miles to Prather and hwy 168. When you get to the stop sign in Prather turn left onto hwy 168.

It is better to go the Aubery road way as you can run 55 mph or faster.
hwy 168 is very winding and tight curves lucky if you can maintain 40 mph

We just drove home from Poway, I could see the thunder heads out over the mountains and desert area they looked pretty intense.

Dwight & Lynda left Thursday morning for the Dusy, they had 5 rigs going through. I'm anxious to hear and see pictures of their adventure. Dennis told Mike about it right after we bought the TJ and he really wants to go.

It will be next year though, this year is booked and we are headed into the sacred hunting season

Man, so pretty...the places we go with our rigs.

Bummer about your buddy. That sucks...and is why you should roll with spare axles/parts on trails like that one and the Con. And if someone rolls with an onboard welder, you're golden

Can't wait to to hit that one!

Yeah it came thru about 7pm last night dropped a load of water on everything. Nice big light show...whole neighborhood was out in their garages watching and enjoying a beer. Absolutely great and clear this morning can see Kaiser peak and ridge.

OK, I am not going to take my trailer after all. I am leaving from work between 2 and 3 pm Thursday afternoon.....if you are in the area call and maybe we can go up together 559-916-1799
