I just drove back from Yucaipa listening to 'Elevation' by U2 over and over again... It's the dawn of a new age. Mocha rubs no more

The beginning:

Once I learned what wheeling meant:

ELEVATION BABY!!!

3.5" RockKrawler mid arm, 35" MT/R's, and all the trimmings... Anyone wanna hit a run?

Thanks so much Scott for allowing us to participate in your JKU Elevation project! I'm confident you will be ecstatic when you get it off road and feel the flex and your new found capable jeep!

Looks great Scott! I'm jealous, I want those tires!

Any close ups of the wheels? I can't tell what they look like from the pic.

Looks great and more importantly, you are more prepared to go over those rocks..."It make you feel like you can fly, so high...elevation! Very nice Scott!

How do you spell OOOOhhhooohhhh.... OOoohhhhhOoooheh ?

Seriously, LOVED the entire drive home... It definitely feels more solid. I think the Sahara suspension was a bit cushier. None the less, I cannot wait to get it on a trail. The thing that surprises me the most is the gearing. I have been running 3.21's since I bought the jeep six months ago, and I was so fearful of how bad of a hit I would take with 35's. I am totally impressed, drives nearly the same as it did with 32's, only difference being that I *want* to go faster! I actually drove 85 the whole way home... how's THAT for insanity?

Let's see, what else... Road noise? Virtually none. I can hear a nice hum, enough to know that the tires are there, but not enough to get in the way of a good handsfree bluetooth conversation at 85mph. That's pretty cool! There will undoubtedly be more to say, I am just too excited right now! The JPi team does it again... A M A Z I N G

Oh, and in case you were wondering (I was) it still fits in the garage... HOORAY!!!!

I think Dishpan would be a great place to break it in. Be careful of the rocks and those black wheels.

Welcome to the tall boys club. Be careful out there for the first couple of runs. Ya have to re-learn your corners and being up that high brings on a whole new perception when leaned over.

Holcomb is a good place to "Break that shit in".

Nice pics! What trail is that?

Makes a lot of difference having better articulation and some ground clearance! So what's the next mod Scott?
