Easter Jeep Safari from SoCal

Curious who from SoCal is planning on going and what your plans are.

My buddy and I are going to caravan up that way, and we are basically going with no plan at all. Just going to camp wherever we can. Maybe hit Zion on the way, then Moab for EJS, then cruise over to Colorado for some exploring.

If anyone wants to join in camping and exploring, let's get a thread going. Toss some ideas around, maybe some advice since I have no clue what to expect, all that stuff.

Good luck on trying to find someplace to sleep. EJS is a pretty busy time. If you've never been though, it's absolutely awesome! Unfortunately I won't be able to make it but have gone about 5 or 6 times in the past. I wish you luck! Have an awesome adventure! :-)

Yeah I hear it's pretty crazy. I don't mind getting far away from where the event is happening and throwing up a tent, or even sleeping in the Jeep somewhere. Thanks for the head's up.

I dont get why everyone says its crazy. Sure if you go to Potato Salad Hill it is the redneck hotspot but everywhere else is just fine. I went in 2012 with just my Dad and had an awesome time, stayed in town which was great. No need to stay away from town IMO, good people and free hotdogs!.

For me next time is EJS 15.

Haha good to know! I'm open to adventure, so I don't mind a bit of traveling to find a place to sleep.

Why wait till 2015?

There were some people talking in this thread a few months ago about going to Moab this spring. The thread has been quiet for 5 months, but you might want to poke your head in there and see who's still going. Moab is not in the cards for me this year.

Right on, I'll look for it. Thanks for the head's up and bummer you can't join the festivities
