Funny things people have said about your Jeep.

I was out the other day with my doors off and a lady came up to and asked bout why I had no doors. In a polite but semi sarcastic voice I told her "Well I have an unusual car loan. If you don't make your payments they Repossess your car one piece at a time. This time they took my doors." She looked at me with a sad solomn face and said " I hope you get caught up on your payments and get your doors back soon." As she walked off I almost wet my britches from from laughing so hard.

I am sure this is not the only such story like this out there. Anyone else have a great story?

I kept getting asked if I want to sell it. But there's no for sale sign. So I put a sticker on the side that says... Not For Sale, Make Your Own.

A buddy at work says "moooooo" to me all the time, referring to my paint job.

Pulled up at a gas station which is close to race track. Guy in front was running one sweet Z06 Corvette. Got done pumping gas and rolled up next to him. Close by Vette standards but for us jeepers not even. There was room enough for two coats of paint so, plenty of room. Rolled down the window and asked him if wanted to race, "We run one on his course of choice and one on my course of choice. First person to complete both courses wins".

His response was, "Is that electric?"

He asked this because of how quiet the jeep is but COME ON!

Poser for sure. No self-respecting motorhead would have ever asked that.

I have an electric blue powertank (10 lb co2) mounted on my roll bar behind drivers seat. I was at a gas station with top off and a teenager asked me if it was NOS. I explained to him what it was and what its for. He seemed disappointed after I told him.

How about rude? "Wow, it's like a mini Hummer!" to which I replied the classic phrase, "Dude, if I wanted a Hummer, I'd ask your sister!"

I was in the McDonald's drive-thru one time topless and doorless. The guy at the window, ignorant about Jeeps and genuinely concerned said, "What happened to your door? Where you in an accident?"

A co-worker of mine, after seeing my doorless Jeep for the first time asked, "Is insurance cheaper if you don't have doors, because there's less to insure?"

When I still had stock tires, I took my son wheeling with me for the first time and he said, "I used to think you had big tires until I saw everybody else's." Ouch! Lol. It didn't help that I was wheeling with a couple people who had 38's and 40's.

I have had people I was going out wheeling with for the first time say "cute little Jeep, and look at those street tires". Well they don't say that by the end of the day cause I am going everywhere they are! And they have 35's and bigger tires!

I get lots of questions about no doors when the weather is nice but I just say "I like the wind up my pants!" Shuts them up everytime!

You should have said, "ya dude, and you should see when the Vtec kicks in."

Lol, wish I could use that. There are a lot of people that make comments about how the Jeep is like a Hummer. Most I just say no it's not, it actually goes off the pavement or ignore the comment completely.

I did have some jerk at the gas station tell me it must be nice to have a sugar daddy. I told him I wouldn't know about that and turned away.

I was driving my 42 Marine Corp MB no canvas and windshield down when a newer pulled up next to me at a stoplight.

The girl in the newer jeep said. "What's that? It's cute." I told her it was her jeeps great great grandpa.

Was talking to one of my vendors last week, he was gonna be picking up his brand new jeep on Valentines day... We were talking about gas mileage. One of my customers kindly stepped in and told me I should get rid of it because it doesn't get very good mileage! He may know his dogs but he doesn't understand jeeps. I thought my coca cola vendor was gonna beat him!

That is pretty funny considering the paint job.

After my second wheeling trip or so, I came back with new scratched and a co-worker got a little excited and told me it's brand new and I'm already ruining it.

I assured him it would drive just fine with scratches. Other co-worker looked at him and reminded him it's a Jeep, that's what it's for...

My wife and I have a toy poodle and I had her riding around with me. Some lady did a double take and said. That little girl dog in that big bad jeep looks funny.
I know it's a feminine dog but I love her.

Wonder what her comment would have been with a big Rottweiler in a pink & Chrome Barbie Jeep, lol. Just smile and say thank you, it's her Jeep
