Gorman run 4-30

Hey guys, myself and another WF member Justin are going out to Gorman. On saturday april 30th to play around a bit. Everyone is welcome. It will just be a small day trip. Probably arriving in Gorman around 10-11 at the jeep play ground. Packing a lunch and hanging out till maybe 5-6 and then heading home. Join us if you can. Hope to meet some more WF members.

Kyle

This weekend will be my first time taking my jeep off roading so I'm pretty inexperienced. I don't think I'm at the level for a big bear run this year but thanks for the invite.

No problem. Gorman is a good place to start out. That and a trail called Cleghorn off of the 15. Have fun this weekend. Drive safe. And let me know if you can make it out again next weekend and we can meet up.

I'm gonna be on tour from May 10th to June 10th so I won't be able to make the big bear run. I was planning on going to Gorman or Cleghorn on May 7th. I might be able to switch the golf to the 7th and go out with y'all on Saturday. I'll post on here to let you know for sure in the next day or so

Think I am going to have to pass on this one. I usually work on Saturdays to help out a buddy at his shop, so mostly run in Sundays. Either way I am planning a Pismo trip either the weekend before or after Memorial Day so need to save some funds for the gas man.

So my buddy and myself decided it would be a lot more to hit the trail rather than course. I'll be staying at his place on Friday night so we are going to be leaving out of Ventura.

Well if any of you are in the Ventura area Firday night and want to get together, how about Friday night at El Torito in Oxnard for Happy Hou?. I do not drink but wife and I started to hang out there once in a while and it is a pretty chill place.

Gorman is the perfect place to get your feet wet, it is basically a jeep play ground. It has one man made hill climb with bowling ball sized rocks, two other more difficult rock sections, one mud pit, a water crossing, sandy sections and numerous dirt hill climbs twisting around that area. Also a few places to go fast if you like speed. Over all a good place to start out and escape for a day. And a great place to get that tj dirty.

Is it going to be difficult with more of a street tire? I don't have money to buy new tires yet and the ones I have at least 10,000 miles left on them. I don't like to let things go to waste

I hear you on that, you will be fine for most of the stuff out there. The bigger rock sections would require a lift and a more aggressive tire. But most of everything else will be fine for you. Last time I went there I saw plenty of stock rigs playing around. No need to worry at all.

Fossboss I went out there this weekend for the first time and I had a blast. My jeep is stock with road tires as well. I took it pretty easy because it was my first time ever off roading but like the other guys said, it was a perfect place for a beginner!

Will be my first time as well.

Alright guys, Justin and I are leaving at 9 from Long Beach expecting to be in Gorman before 11. For those who are going let's meet up at the Hungry Valley ohv park. And decide what we want to from that point.
