I'd like to get out and wheel some Hammer trails. Maybe Aftershock or something of that nature. Always open to suggestions as well.
I put a question mark because I don't have my work schedule yet, but it would be on a Saturday in March, possibly the beginning. Right now just getting a feel if anyone would be up for it.
Sounds like fun bud...depending on the overtime you know I'm up for some rocks.
If you're open to suggestions. .I wouldn't mind taking a ride up to Trona and running Isham canyon??
I could do some Isham too, I'm good with just about anything. It's only a little bit further then JV for me. Though I imagine this would be a small group and we would blaze through it pretty quick?
Hey guys I might be up for this depending when and where. Isham would be almost a three hour drive for me, so I'd likely get a room somewhere the night before. I think I'm ready to run with the big dogs!!
I'm sure you'll find some luxury accommodations available in Trona. LOL
Have you ever been up there? You may have to go as far as Ridgecrest to even find a Motel 6. Just kidding, Ridgecrest as a few nice motels. I believe it's maybe half an hour (or less) north of Trona.
:bop:
Well right now I am leaning more towards staying with JV only because Isham is only 1.1 miles long and there isn't much in the immediate area. Thats not to say it wouldn't take all day though because it has in the past.
Still sorting out Krawler blue labels, new axle housing, hydro assist, RCV axle boot won't stay on, and suck down winch in prep for Moab. So it depends on how much I get done. Ran Cleghorn with Tony yesterday and for the most part all worked well. So it depends on how much finish work I get done, would be up for Stoddard Wells, Pumkin Eater, Achy Breaky or El Diablo Mano.
yup...if I recall correctly it wasn't so much the tire size as much as the need for a short wheelbase cause of the tight turn on the waterfall at the end.
When in doubt... just initiate the legrection and you gonna pass right thru... :iamhappy:

I'm leading the Advanced run for the WF Meet and Greet event at Calico in March. My run plan is to hit Lower and Upper Big Johnson and Aftershock. Maybe that will work for you...
Wow...you guy's are going to drive from Calico out to the Hammers?...and then back after those trails..that's going to make for a very long day, even if you don't have any troubles. You're looking at at least an hour and a half to 2 hours to the trailhead of BJ. Aftershock is way back in there and will add another 30 or so minutes just to get back to the lake.
I may be up for the trails but I'd just meet you guys and gals out there. If I were to be inviinvited..lol
JC... I wouldn't mind doing JH again. That freaking trail was the best I have ever done in the sense it has all the rock crawling and the butt pucker factor we can wish for in one trail.
Well I got my work schedule it's pretty light. Looks like I'm free to wheel the 12th, 13th, 19th, or 20th. I prefer Saturdays but am game for whichever.
Let me know how that works for you guys before I pick a day that no one can go.
JC - I am not going to be able to make this. Dana60 rear on the way and will barely have it back in time for Moab....its a bummer but hopefully next time.
would be in for 19-20th.Tony should have his ride fixed by then.
