Thumbs up

OK gang, I am 100% in. It looks like my springs will be warranted, and I should get them next week. Worst case, I bring the springs with me and do an improptu spring swap Friday afternoon/early evening. Should not take too long if I have to do that as all the bolts on that part are under 1 year old.

Jeff

Hey guys, I posted on the other thread that the closest gas to your camp spot is 30 miles away. You probably already know this, but just in case. Don't miss the mud caves, they are close by in Tapiado wash. Tapiado wash to Arroyo Seco Del Diablo is a fun, but not to tough drive.

Hey Fred, you should join us. We did the mud caves last year and you are right. It is a great time. Hope to see you there.

I think gas is like 30 miles away! I think someone needs to research where the nearest bar is!

The bar is where ever we set it up.

I thought the "bar" was a broken axle shaft and that we used it to poke the fire...maybe I'm just confused though...

I'd come if Cain would hurry up and finish the paper Jeep for me to drive.

(I may just tag along anyway, but don't worry, I don't eat much.)

Its not the eating I worry about. I heard Flat Brian can really put the beer away. We can only carry so much.

I'm interested in finding/going to local meets and events. I was so hopeful when I found this thread. But then I realized it is the same weekend as opening day for turkey season. They don't have gobblers out there in AB do they? (kidding) Maybe I will catch you guys next time. Can anyone recommend a local club for a San Diego guy?

Is the potluck still on? Or are we gonna cancel it due to the drop of participants?

If we are still gonna do it, I'm good. Just need to know.

Concur. I've got the spaghetti sauce. I see we have 8 confirmed and another possible family coming. I'll bring enough for an even dozen.

Ok gang. Sauce is ready to go. I made WAAAAYYY too much sauce and Deb was laughing at me, but I have plenty to bring. Pics below. I used the vacuum sealer and froze a bunch of bags so I just need to know how many to throw in the cooler.

A costco run later, it's time to peel some garlic. Gotta add some kick for that Ragu and classico sauce!

Hamburger AND sausage will work too. For those of you with a cardiologist on speed dial, yes, I drained grease/fat off.

Oops. Not enough room to add the veggies. Well, one more pan will have to come out. The garlic, onions, mushrooms and red/yellow/orange peppers need some room to cook after all.

I have enough sauce for like 24-30 people. I guess we'll be eating spaghetti out of the freezer for awhile!

When I was a little kid, I used to put my spaghetti between two slices of garlic bread and have a spetti sammich. Mmmmm, good times. So with the truck load of sauce, how much garlic bread and pasta should I bring? Last year I had a wee bit too much bread. Oh, and keep the cardiologist on speed dial cause I still plan on bringing the bacon for breakfast. mmmmm bacon...

Brian & Judy, will bring pasta and sauce and all that other junk he mentioned.
Larry & Debbie, will bring the sauce and firewood. Wooohooo a fire.

Tentative - Ray.
Turdette... I love it!

HEY LARRY YES I AM READING THIS. All in great fun, if I had to do that day all over again, I wouldn't change anything at all. It all makes great memories of wheeling and only knowing a guy for basically a day. What this group brings together is something different. I have a mustang and that group is not nearly as close nit as this by any chance.

Ok, since Larry's got the sauce, veggies, meat, etc covered and Jeff is bringing the pasta and bread, we’ll switch gears and bring salad and Apricot cobbler for dessert.

See ya Friday......

Brian, my veggies are in the sauce...just sayin'. If you or anyone wants more/extra...

I won't be bringing quite as much wood as I thought either. I'll bring whatever will fit in the jeep around the coolers, tent etc.

We can't leave until 2. Mike has a math test he can't miss.

The sight we liked was to the left of the entrance. It's a protected area in a cove of little hills.
