Heartbreak ridge/pontiac sluece April 27th

Planning a run back up here so my buddy can get his newly purchased jeep(06 lj rubi) in 4lo! He's new to the whole 4x4 scene and this is a perfect run for just that. If time permits would like to shoot up to gold mountain afterwards. Thinking of meeting at the ranger station at highway 38 & Bryant. 8:00 am meet depart approx 8:45. If I can get someone(Billotd,Dtm,Jpi) who knows the area a little better than me that would be great

Would love to do that run. Very fun. Unfortunately, will be in Sacramento that weekend. Have fun and be safe.

Yeah I think Coop was suffering a bit on Sunday as well...

If you can postpone the other one, join us!
I know you want to get your friend out wheelin, but I dont think this trail is as good a choice for a new stock jeep without any mods....

He's got what appears to be at least a 4" lift on 35's, but his wheelin experience is nill to none. From what I've seen marble canyon wouldnt be the place for him to get his feet wet.

Probably not, marble canyon appears to be pretty dang dry

I wish I could make it out to wheel on either of these runs coming up, but unfortunately the wife is having the baby shower that weekend so Im hanging out with some of the guys.

I'm also doing the Marble Canyon run the next day.

I've been wanting to do this Heartbreak/Pontiac run again. Dan was talking about working in Motino to this. Probably not good for you noob friend though.

I can not make it on Saturday Tim. I'm helping out with my sons High School Mountain Bike Team. Glad to read you are going to join us on Sunday at Marble. This will be my first time there. Looks like we have a great group. It's going to be a blast!

By the way. I have a few newbie friends I need to take out too. I feel bad because every run I do is to hard for them. Let me know when you reschedule and maybe I can join you with somemore newbies...

I'm beginning to see a pattern here: Leads on Jeep trails and Bike rides...

The biking is an official school sport now? Wish they had that when I was in high school.

Yeeper you still planning on this run? If you run it, can you post up trail conditions? We are going to run it the first weekend of May.

Id like to join. Are these trails appropriate for a new off roader with no experience and a stock 2013 wrangler unlimited sport?

You'll do fine. I've actually got 2 others tagging along that are new as well. So far the group should be a good mix of experienced and noobies! Great trail for a day run
