The procomp kit is pretty good from what I have heard. I did not see the transfer case drop spacer, but if you decide you need it due to driveline vibrations, let me know, and I will let you have the spacer. Just taking up space in my garage right now anyway.

On a side note, I noticed that the kit does not come with new front u-bolts for the leaf springs. I would recommend getting new ones if not supplied with the kit. Without me re-reading the entire thread, are you having the lift installed or doing the work yourself/friends helping out?

Jeff

Oh today I got my Smittybilt console and a sticker from 4wheel parts in compton.
You will need a Alignment after you install! Check on Terra Flex Pro Comp tends to sag a buddy of mine ran one for a half year and tore it all off to go to Terra Flex. If you are gonna street more than trail you will have no problems!!

Post up after you buy your lift, I am sure someone on here would be willing to lend a hand for the cost ofpizza and drinks. If you make the drive out my way I can help out.

I have run my Smittybuilt SRC bumper for the past 8 years (whew!). It is heavy, but will provide great frontend protection. I had a Jeep back into the front of my Jeep, and only paint from the other Jeep was left on the bumper!

In Baja, Mexico I drove past two deer, when one ran and second one hesitated and then ran directly into my drivers door. Had I hit the deer, it would have been toast. My Jeep would have survived. Thats the good thing about my bumper. I don't have to worry about getting in an accident with that bumper protecting the front of my Jeep.

Great approach angle

I have to agree that the ES 3000 shocks are not the best, I took a set off mine and now I am running Rancho 9000s. I still have my set and plan on selling them eventually...if you are buying a kit that includes them, I will make you a much better deal.

My ex had a '95 Rio Grande YJ that a friend and I lifted back in 1999. It took all weekend due to a torch that was needed to heat the leaf spring bolts, the work it took to change the pitman arm, shocks, etc. Granted, this was a 2.5" ProComp lift with Rancho RS9000 shocks. All of this work to just fit a set of 31s.

The 2.5" ProComp lift took all weekend or 12 hrs x 2 days. Lift tools night need to include a propane torch to heat bolts since you are lifting a stock YJ. Also, a good breaker bar.

My first time doing a lift took pretty much a full day and I was exhausted.I had to redo the lift when my shackle flipped and wiped out a leaf spring. RC sent me new springs and I got the lift installed in a few hours, but all the hardware was new and that made things easier. The second lift I did was on my ex-wifes XJ and took a while also due to needing to run and get different tools. I have learned a lot since and depending on just how much grime/rust is on the stock suspension should take a few hours to a day.

On a side note, the hardest part of my entire lift was replacing the pitman arm as I could not get the factory one off. I broke 2 pitman arm removal tools and finially had to use my grinder to cut it off in sections. If you do plan on doing the lift or having me or other members on here give you a hand, it helps if you prep every visible bolt with PB Blaster or other quality penitrating oil for a week or so before the work is to be done. Take a look at the installation instructions and any where a bolt or nut is shown in the directions, spray the crap out of it.

If you need to have the installation done quickly, then a local shop is probably your best bet as they will have all the tools and equipment needed for the job. I don't know of any shops in your area, just local to me and only a couple I would trust with my life/lift kit keeping me alive with proper installation.

Jeff

Glad to see you never lost her. Must have sucked though in the meantime. Luckily you still have your wallet, ID theft sucks, I know from a hard lesson learned.
