Oh. Nevermind.

I just mentioned this to the GF and got scolded, since she has apparently been telling me that we are going to Big Bear that weekend, and I've apparently not been paying attention.

Y'all have fun, and I'll just enjoy the Jeep trails in Big Bear instead!

Slash X is only 40 minutes down the back side of big bear. You could wheel the dez in the morning and be in big bear before dinner.
If I don't have a bunch of kids with me that may end up being my plan. Slash X Saturday. Big bear Saturday night Sunday and Monday!

Hope we can make it out there by 9:30. I know I and especially Candy wouldn't want to miss that "fun stuff". Looking forward to the weekend. Mark.

I was out at Slash X a few weeks ago with a group on motorcycles, but this would be the first time with the Jeep, and apparently we'll be lucky with temps that weekend. I'll be campin' in the truck camper, probably somewhere close to the bar.
should be a few mellow trails I go out there sometimes usually just puttin around lookin for a nice spot to shoot. Haha

Sounds like a fantastic idea to illegally shoot a pistol or rifle during a large event where there are a bunch of people wheeling/riding.

I'm all for shooting but really?

Hey sorry we missed you bud...

All I can say is I had a fantastic time this year at HDR...I'm So glad they moved it back home to Stoddard Wells. Having it at Slash X made it a great venue. Friday I lead some of the big boys from VV4W along Fred and a couple others with nice rigs through a few rocks. ..lol
We also did one of my personal favorites..Demolition canyon.. you know it's a good one when Tony GenRite was diggin it.
I have to say how sorry and bad I feel for Mr Snell. He lead Pumpkin Eater this year and rolled it over backwards on the waterfall. A big thanks to Craig Olson from VV4Wers, Tony from GenRite for putting him upright and extracting him from the canyon. ..good job guys...glad no one was hurt.

That's always comforting when the guy leading the run rolls over backwards in front of you.

I ended up deciding to take my wife's hints that I needed to do other stuff with her this weekend.

Ya I didn't think you made it out...you missed a good one Jerry. The weather was fantastic!
What happened. ..the wife didn't tell you your getting to old for this stuff did she...lol

Those are 35" tires on 16x8" Moab cast aluminum wheels. This photo was taken when the pictured TJ Rubicon was still new. I loved those days.

Thanks everybody Candy and I had a great time. Stoddard Wells on Saturday and Calico on Sunday. Our first time wheeling at Calico and finally got to see the infamous gate keeper in person. Maybe one of these days. Jeepers are good people and we'll see y'all on the next one. Mark.
