Really the only issue I could see for you would be gearing. 373's might be too tall for 35's if you like using 6th gear at all.
On a 2011 or earlier with the old 3.8 it would suck. Looking a the gearing charts around here for 2012 and up they claim about 33's is where you start getting off the middle of the road okay range with 3.73 on a manual. 3.73 with the new engine on the new automatic that comes with it you can actually get by right on the edge of the "ok" range with 35's. I'll definitely see a hit, but not as bad as the 3.8L guys would. I guess I get paranoid about the C's, I've heard a good pothole can bend them even on 32/33's.

Unfortunately, gear changes are not cheap, which is why most of us compromise. It's one of the biggest reasons I'm still running 32's. I have to drive mine to work every day and it would bug the heck out of me!

If you planned on staying with 33's, go with 456 gears. If you want 35's bump up to 488's. You'll get better gas mileage, be able to wheel in 4Lo way better and have 5th gear back. And for you JK guys, gearing may be a little different than us TJ guys. My 2cents worth. Oh whoops, am I off topic Gene?
Thanks for the input. I'll probably wait until I graduate until I make the leap to 35's or bigger. collage budget and all.

btw, just in case you guys didn't know today is a very special birthday for all of us. Today in 1941 the jeep was born. Happy Birthday Jeep.

Yeah, I was briefly debating 34's last night, but there's not a huge selection and they're all really expensive. Probably just going to go with some 33x12.5's until I can re-gear & reinforce once my 32's wear out.

edit: let's put it this way, 35's are cheaper than 34's. In most cases enough to pay for 1/2 a tire or more.

If you guys want, I will hook you up with the ones on my Jeep. I love them, I am just going taller in a couple weeks. I got them from Gene with about 5k miles and I put about 2k miles on them. Km2 285/70/17. 5 tires one is brand new. Rims too if you need. One brand new as well. 5x5 pattern. I love the km2s just going taller for my build. Anyways, willing to hook anyone in our group up.

Well, I have to say it was an interesting weekend! High Lakes is gonna be a tough one to tame! In all fairness, circumstances beyond our control stopped us from completing the run. Thankfully, our group is a great bunch, and instead of leaving a complete stranger stranded, we elected to tow him and his family out of danger and back to safety, sacrificing the rest of the trail. The trail that we DID run was awesome and challenging. I WILL return! High Lakes will not win! Cindy and I very much enjoyed hanging out with the camping crew Saturday night for some yummy BBQ and tales of our battle with the evil High Lakes! LOL!

Did a anyone lose their license plate? I found one ending in 65F1 on the way out. Had a great time, and i want to thank everyone who helped watch out for my kiddo and puppy when my attention was pulled another direction. I think one of the three is going with mom next time. Haha. I'll post my pics when I get them uploaded.
