Disclaimer:

I am a jeep enthusiast that likes to plan these little adventures. I am not part of any club, organization or sanctioned event. This trail run is a "enter at your own risk" run. I will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen stuff, damage to your jeep or equipment, etc. I will, however, honor the "jeepers code". Everyone who goes in goes out! I will try to provide as much intel as I can so that you can make a informed decision as to whether you would like to attend or not. Nuff said! Now, let's get out there and enjoy what nature has to offer us, make some new friends, and have some fun with our Jeeps!

Probably just for the day. We'll see how it plays out. May bring a tent just in case. With you leading, who knows where we'll end up! lol!

I *might* be able to go on the 3rd, but I've got to work on the 4th. I'd be down for some moderate wheeling and hanging with some fellow jeepers.

I'm tentatively in. I think it will also depend on how tough the trails are that we're going to hit. I'm not after anything like what I've seen pics of the trails leading into places like Morris lake yet. Also gonna depend on if I'm able to leave the puppy at home or not (i.e. if the gf is not working that day). I don't want to bring him along on another slickrock level run right away. I don't think he was very happy about slickrock lol and I was stressed out making sure I wasn't knocking him out of the seat while making sure not to drive the Jeep into a rock at the same time.

There are some campgrounds around lake Oroville that are about $32. a night but with 2-3 ppl pre site that's not bad. (plus there's showers) It's about 20 mins away from the meet up spot. So how does that sound to you guys camping? I hope to camp both nights but still up in the air for me.

Trail Open
Trail is open all year. It is HIGHLY recommended that in the winter/spring time to try and stay off any dirt/mud (if possible) to prevent corrosion to keep this trail open!. Also, it is very important to stay on trail at all times and to not go outside any boundaries that are marked.

Difficulty Moderate [4] to Difficult [9]

Description
The High Lakes area is a fun filled area for anyone with any type of OHV vehicle to explore. There is plenty of camping around the lakes and they are also filled with fish. During the summer time it has nice warm days and cool nights. During the winter it is usually cold all day and even colder at night. There are beautiful views and its just a great area for everyone to see.

I need to know how many ppl will be camping so I know how many sites we need. I think the 2-3 ppl per site worked out great last time.

So I'm still thinking of going (will have to bring the dog) but I'm not sure about camping. So I guess to figure it out I have to ask, are we only doing trails on Saturday? If we are doing stuff both days, and I end up going, then yeah I'll be camping. I checked out lodging in the area and it's like $100 for something decent plus $10 a night for the dog and a $100 pet deposit. I'd rather camp and eat cold sandwiches out of the cooler

Ok, so I should be able to easily just head home Saturday then. I think Paradise is only like 90 minutes from me if I remember correctly from last year looking at it.

Ok I may have found a way to get back to Hwy 70 without back tracking.
