Holcomb Creek Bites

Went for the trail unlocked and unprotected first time. It got the better of me...

Any experience fixing this at home?

Agree with this. Don't fix it, just find some rails that will cover that area.

Was there still snow on Holcomb? How was it?

I don't want to buy rails for it. Planning on buying a 6 cyl and transferring parts early this summer. Just want it to look okay when I pass it to my sister.

Hardly any snow. The first obstacle was all tore up.

So how did u like the rush of being on the rocks?
Did it make u wish for more? Or did u find urself asking why am I doing this to my jeep?

For me....after I run Holcomb creek/ Lower largo all I can think about is getting over to John Bull for some rocks..

Hey Rick....it looks like theres snow on the ground in his picture?

Or if it's going to your sister and she doesn't want rails, find a factory step to install.

Made me want more. Just can't wait to get the 6 cyl that I can put armor onto. I shed a tear every time I dropped on the skid/axles.
Can't wait to get a locker too. Watching my friend idle over anything in her dads 80k JK on 40s made me pretty jealous.

Sounds like you were with Martys daughter.
Red jk hemi/40s and more, nice rig.

Don't be fooled good driving will take you more places than a built rig....I built mine but I need a rock buggy anymore...I'm not a stock jeeper trying to justify driving without mods, the line choice and confidence will take you a lot of places then the build will take you even further...combine both and get ready for a good tie and damage...
I've smashed my drversde tub in and rocker below my door as well as the rear section...just build armor removed all extremeties hanging off and continue.

I see it all the time out in Moab...some guy will dump a ton of $$$$ and a Himi into his Jk and doesn't change the axles....then wonders why it broke?

Hey right on!
But dang!....I would've went for some Unimogs or got ahold of Red Rive Army Depot and picked some gear reductions drives ...for Dana 60s ...yields a 5" off set of lift and a 6.1 reduction at the wheel...
Now that'll be money well spent...
Not knocking what he has and I'm sure he's happy with them.
Just sayin..

Very nice setup... would love to go d60s and 40s but considering I hang with them in the nasty stuff to begin with the cost isn't worth it id be doing it more for looks and less for effectiveness....

Yeah I'd spend a few bucks and slap some sliders or nerf bars on for your sister go on craigslist they are cheap.....
