I am a Honda engine management tuner (or at least I was in the late 1990's- early 2000's). Specializing in reprogramming/chipping/dyno and street tuning OBD1 Honda vtec ecu's. In the late 1990's a small company called Hondata (now they are huge in the Honda scene) started selling Honda ecu upgrades and tuning software. I was the first one in my local are to get their s300 system. Back then it was a mind blower to have an adjustable two step launch control system and adjustable re limiter built into the factory ecu.. People started asking about it and I told them it was a Hondata computer. Someone threw out the nickname "Tomdata" because my first name is Tom. The name has followed me ever since.

Btw... If anyone in this forum knows what's up.. I still have a 1997 civic ex coupe with a JDM TypeR motor swap in it as my daily driver.. Old habits die hard.

Because it honestly is a way of life.

The search for adventure, the "taking the road less traveled" (often literally), being in the outdoors and loving it, being late to school because you found a little tiny mud hole on the side of the highway, and being part of a group that is so much more than just a bunch of guys with the same car.

Welcome to the site, see you on the trails!

I hope my sons get into Jeeping similar to your family. My 4 yo says he wants and orange Jeep and gets excited when he sees one on the road. I have 2 sons with a third due in late November. Hopefully I can get them all hooked!

ever since 1984 I took my CJ-8 out at Red Rock Cyn, above the falls into Last Chance Cyn with no idea what slickrock was.....I have had the nick name Slickrock!
I tried all I could to back up, and get away from the edge so I would not endo, and finally just bit the big one, and went for the gusto!
It was a real pucker factor, but it worked!! I gassed the jeep, and hit the bottom but the momentum carried me across the edge, and onto the flat at the bottom of last Chance!

I bought my old YJ in the winter at about the time I moved into my current home. In the spring my neighbors kids came over introduced themselves. They hung around and we talked as I removed the top and doors. One of the kids were missing about half of their front teeth and when I pulled the doors off she looked at me with the strangest look and said "That's just fweaky". The YJ has been called Fweaky ever since.

I have been a locksmith for over 30 years in the Palm Springs area.

I have only been on 1 run with WF - Berdoo Cyn. Joshua Tree with Desert Outlaw's large group. What a blast. Great people.
I don't have many weekends available but you can bet that when I do I will be looking to meet up.

Hivedr. Mine came from always seeming to get several bees in my patrol car every week during the summer. My fellow employees started calling me the Hivedr. Wasn't funny at the time because I am allergic to bee stings.

Since being retired I can look back a laugh at it. I decided to carry the name forward.

I used to fly airplanes with a stick & rudder, then I got into the unmanned business. Now I fly with a keyboard & mouse!

I work for the City of L.A. at LAX where I ran the recycling program for several years. My wife used to call me "King O' Trash" but I like "Recycled" better. I bought my 1st Jeep about 6 mos ago, I love it, it's the best, most fun vehicle I've ever owned. The pic by my user name is from Desert Outlaw's Joshua Tree run in Jan 2014. We had a blast, great people, looking forward to the Calico run in a couple weeks.

A) Because I live in Southern California (LA area), and B) because I'm a MOPAR nut. A + B = socal_hemihead.

I have a Hemi (Chrysler 300c) and an Unlimited Rubicon. Now if only I could put the Hemi under the hood of the Rubicon!

I have an Unlimited and 300c too. Been trying to convince the wife to let me swap engines. She said NO WAY! Do you blame her for not giving up her Hemi? LOL
