I vote for the one with the dirt and stuff and where we get to drink beer at the end of the day.

You guys are not helping in the decision making process! Don't make me call it. I'm Always calling it! Where do we want to go? Make your pros and cons lists .. And then post up where you think we should go. I'll lead it, but You guys decide this time !

***ok...you all posted as I was writing...unless there's an overwhelming list started for Calico, it looks like Miller..standing by..

Sounds like we have decided on Miller!

mpoberg- It's in Frazier Park..Google the distance but it's not 8 hours. Much closer than the other options.

Start posting up if you can make it so we can start making a list.

If ya got lockers, come with us July 8th, BB run. Actual trail hasn't been decided but, if the rigs that show have the right stuff it will be John Bull or Holcomb. By the end of either or both of those you will have your fill of rocks, actually BOULDERs.

Might as well put in my vote...

Miller will work. Wife does her nails on that run but.... its close and we will be in BB the previous weekend and another 5 hr round trip just doesn't sound fun. I know, pansy....

Time for more coffee and fire up the smoker.

Ya, Miller's NOTHING compared to Calico or BB, but with a bigger group and no reservations available in BB and a bunch of first time wheelers, it makes more sense NOT to do BB. I dont need to spend 5 hours on one trail trying to get some less capable rigs and less experienced drivers get through Dishpan etc.

Miller is doable but I'm still thinking Calico is an option. If there are Calico votes out there, post up..or it looks like Miller is what's happening.

Major issue with Calico is the heat. Hard on the motors and hard on the people. Something happens on the trail, ya deal with 100+ degree heat and most people are not equipped to deal/handle that kind of environmental extreme.

Miller would be nice to break in the n00bs, then we can take them down to the training area and put them through some other obstacles as well. Now that the real rock rails are installed, been kinda wantin to do the "sluce". One place a fatazzed JK won't get through but the rest seems real doable now.

If their rigs aren't THAT old, they'll be fine and not overheat. Screw the heat! Who cares? Drink water!

Miller will NOT be much cooler than Calico. Maybe 5-10 degrees at the most.

I still vote Calico

Dude, stop. I watched an '88 YJ with only 3.5" of lift, on 33"s, and only a rear locker tackle the Gatekeeper at Calico. And aced it!!! And hot, try Death Valley in August, that's HOT!!! 110 degrees is just warming up at Calico. God I wish I didn't have to work that weekend.

Try 25 degrees cooler Rich.

I could go either way on this but I think we will have a better turn out at Miller...People that wanna get their feet wet will like Miller. Calico's heat and difficulty might turn some people off from it.
