Jeep Beach West: Sat/Sun July 26-27, Pismo Beach, Ca

Hi Jeepers,

I am putting together the first annual Jeep Beach West. Let me know who may be interested. This first year will likely start small, but hope we can grow. The one in Daytona Beach had over 600 Jeeps! Please check out the details, spread the word and register for free at JEEP BEACH WEST

Just an FYI, the Pismo Car Show is that weekend and it will be packed. Hotels and campsites may be hard to get.

Thanks for the heads up. Might make sense to target later july instead. Looks like there is pretty unlimited camping in the svra, but pismo state beach campsites are booked until about august.

They close off the main streets for the show and for those that can't or don't want to camp they may be out of luck. The Car Show is the biggest event around here. It's usually father day weekend, but this year it's late and it may be due to Cal Poly graduation being that weekend. It will be packed then also and again, tough to get hotel rooms.

Sorry folks, been busy with work and the heep. Chasing down some rotational noises and a loud clunk. The dates have changed, but this is the same weekend as the Jeepers Jamboree in Rubicon, so a lot of vendors cannot make it. I asked the mod's to change the title to reflect correct dates. We'll have things nailed down sooner and promoted more next year. So far about 25 registrants, and expect about 50 by the end of July. The events calendar is pretty up-to-date, but likely we will add a dune race after the parade on Sunday. As far as a convoy from NorCal, I am leaving Friday mid afternoon from Sunnyvale area so will be heading down 101. If that meets anyone's schedule, we can certainly meet up at an exit. I am camping at Oceano Dunes Fri / Sat.

I won't be able to leave Friday but planning on leaving early Saturday morning from the Napa/Marin area in time for the first event. If anyone is interested in starting a little convoy let me know!

I see some registrants from Covina, Seal Beach and Long Beach. There was someone from San Diego who had to cancel due to schedule conflict. Where are you coming from?

Thinking about it. In long beach area. Been to Pismo numerous times, just never on the dunes or camped. I have no idea where to camp, if they are actual sites, or just on the beach far from bathrooms (not wife friendly). Have the weekend off, need to figure that end of it out and find some people to link up with.

I'm still not sure if we will make it or not, Dr. says my daughter may deliver early and that would be around the 26th-28th. If all is quiet we may cruise down and meet up, I won't take my JK on the beach, but we will take the TJ if we make it. I look forward to seeing some Jeeps in the neighborhood....there's not enough around here

Coming from SF and meeting a friend in Cupertino/Sunnyvale. We're hoping to leave mid afternoon as well. You heading down with anyone? Want to convoy down?

We can meet off Cochrane Road near Morgan Hill. OR meet somewhere closer in South Bay.
