Haha, exactly
I think all the party would be fun as long as you aren't required to wait in line to get out of the trail. Seeing Rubicon springs, with all the tables, bars and stage looks fun. When we pulled into Rubicon springs, there was a fairly large black bear that had just ripped the screens off the caretakers cabin right in front of his pit bull! He chased him out of the cabin, and the bear crawled up the tree and pounded his paw on the tree and kind of barked. The caretaker said he hadn't seen aggressiveness in the bears like this one. Luckily, the squirrels got into our food that night, not the bear. Although Jim's JK had a bear visit in mammoth at the hotel parking lot.

Yes we did, the start of it is easy, but the upper end is still a challenge

Bill, I didn't know there was a difference in Jamboree's, Dwight and Lynda have been on one of them a couple times. I'll have to clarify with her which one they were on.

We would like to go and experience it at least once, along with Stan's adventurous way. Hell, we're not getting any younger so we might as well fit as much fun in as we can stand

I will be packing some bear spray on both trips, and make sure Mike doesn't try to sneak any twinkies in bed

Hey Stan, it's killing me that Dakota and I weren't able to make it. He's at school and it's all good. Damn priorities. How many days do you recommend to do this trail?

Maybe I'll make some for the Rubicon next year, it will be an excuse to get an ARB fridge

Same here, wish you two could have went. We started the trail on Tuesday morning about 11, and without an excessive stopping for pics and whatever, we made it to camp at Buck island just at dusk. Wednesday morning, we packed up, which takes a bit, and planned on arriving at Rubicon springs early so we could set up camp and enjoy the rest of the day swimming and whatever, which we did at about 1:30. Thursday we made breakfast, packed and made our way up cadillac hill, which is really cadillac mountain! By the time we got to Harrahs, it was about 4:00. So I would suggest 3 days and 2 nights to really soak in all that the Rubicon is.

And the ARB fridge is about the best investment you can make for this trip!

And the motorhome Lisa. It's like you have a nice outdoor fridge that needs no ice!

I think that's every Jeep owners wish, haven't we all planted money trees in the yard? Mine just gets taller and never produces

Looks like you guys did the Rubicon right! Great camp sights, mobile cheff and just about brought all the aminities of home. Looking at your photos reminds me of what an awesome trail it is. I really like that area and looking forward to spending more time there next year. Looking foward to seeing more pics.

You did it in 2 days one night and didn't leave until about 10 on the first day, what time did you come out on day 2?

While I was at Loon lake I talked to a guy that had run it about 15 times, he said he had run it several times in one day but that I should take my time and spend the night...

I'd like to do it too, was hoping it could be covered in 2 days. 1 day does sound rushed from what I've read.

I'd also probably lean towards doing it with the Jeep Jamboree group.

I came out on the 2nd day around 1PM. It would have been sooner if my other Jeeping buddy would of had lockers for Cadillac Hill.
