It would be nice to meet some locals and may be even wheel together sometime. I'm very new to off roading, would like if someone pass on some knowledge.

In Livermore, newb as well...

There is Carnegie on the edge of Livermore which is perfect for beginner/intermediate obstacles. If you go send me a PM I would go with you.

Let's go to Hollister in a couple weeks. We can start a thread and get some interest. I am heading up to Slick Rock tomorrow morning for a last minute camping trip with some other jeepers and kids. Looking forward to meeting up soon!

Welcome to the Jeeping world. There's plenty of 4x4 clubs to check out and wheel with. I belong to Esprit de Four 4x4 club that's based in San Jose. We always welcome folks new to wheeling and also to those who have experience to wheel with us as we're a pretty mellow group. If you're completely new to wheeling, we have a 4x4 safety clinic twice a year: May and September in Hollister Hills.

In the east bay, you might want to check out Diablo wheelers as they're a pretty good group of people.

Cool guys. Thanks for your all support. I'm loving my jeep more with every single day i get to drive it. I would love to meet up on some week ends and cruise or even better do off roading with you guys. As some people suggested, we can start a thread and make a run to Hollister Hills or other areas that are new for some of us.

I am free this and the next weekend. After that I am busy until Sept 15. Who's going to start a thread for Hollister run?

Are you going to be able to make it Jimbob?

Indy, I might be able to sneak out this Saturday, but the 24th looks a little better for me. Then I am on a short leash until the baby comes sometime in Sept, so October will be my next available time out after the 24th. Let me know.

Sadly no. I'll be tied up the rest of this month, and will be prepping for the Lost Coast run in Sept. Have fun guys! Eat lot's of dust!

I can go any week on Sundays. I wouldn't mind doing cruising on Highway 9 towards beaches or smth either. I have been in Hollister twice this summer, but if someone else comes along then i would go again.
