John Bull and Holcomb Creek 7 Dec

Like the title says we are looking to run John Bull and Holcomb Creek this weekend. We are looking to be at the trail at 0900 and get it on. We will be coming from up from Apple Valley so if anyone wants to meet at the 247 cafe let me know.

We are looking for people that would like to run these trails that may not be as experienced. I know what it's like to get out there and hold people up, and it makes you avoid these trails. We are the group for you if this is the case as we will spot when needed and do what ever it takes to get you though the trail.

So here is the details:

meet up at the trail head for the gate keeper on John Bull @ 0900

Commo: Chanel 4

Rigs so far:
Me (TJ fully locked)
Bone Crusher (TJ fully locked)

Let me know if you want to hit these trails up!

My only concern on the stock JK would be the hight. We took a lifted four door JK down John Bull before but not up. Worst case we got winches

When I ran JB we had a 2013 jk rubicon run it stock and it did fine. Just pick the right lines and trust the spotter

It could be a little different story if there is snow on the ground....

So being a first timer this trail wouldn't be the best to start out, especially with a manual 6 speed?

Aaron (Zombiehunta666) was just up there two weeks ago, you might see what he says about the trail condition. We were up there in October with 3 JKU's all lifted & modded. They all made it through, but I would expect some damage if they don't have any armor or sliders.

We discovered this when it rained in July, it makes things fun if you like to play on a slip & slide I can't wait to see it in the snow.
(In Mikes TJ, not my JKUR, lol.)

Ya I went two weeks ago started with Holcomb. Trail was perfect with no snow. We took green valley into Holcomb. In green valley there was a few inches it looked really scenic. Trail was perfect. Lol. It took almost 3 hours to get 7 jeeps (mostly locked) over Holcomb GK on the west end.

I'm actually headed to Big Bear the 8th and gonna do GM with wrangler addict if anyone is interested. The plan was to do GM the Jon bull and have Holcomb as a possible 3rd trail depending on the size/skill and luck of the group.

I was up doing JB by myself over the thx giving holiday. (I was supposed to be in Parker wheeling but had to cancel last minute) there was more snow than I thought, but not so much that it made the rocks hard to see, just a bit of traction lost on the first half mile or so and the left side of the gatekeeper had a bit because it's in the shade.

I just looked at the weather report and it's looking like you will see some snow on Sunday! Have fun!!

I would like to go but wondering if i would be a burden being a first timer and the biggest thing I've gone over is my curb, made it okay without a scratch! Lol

Tires and lift looks good on the avatar. Jeeps probably has enough mods to get you through, we can guide you on the right line. That is if the snow isn't to incredibly deep!

Sounds good, my thing is being manual, snow and rocks on a first trip.
It has lockers that came with it, the tires are 37" so that should help!
Thank you

Yes! Just so you know I just bought the jeep a month ago and haven't had a chance to drive it, so it just sits in the garage! Lol
I have lived in Yucaipa for 15 years and have no idea where the stab field cut off is?
